i order a christmas gift and it has sat at allen park distribution center for 2 days. it supposedly left i'm assuming to go to wyandotte (where i live) it has taken a day and a half to get from allen park to wyandotte. no one has answers. i want my package. this is terrible and i'm not liking the reviews i'm thinking my package has been stolen. does anyone know can i go to the distribution center and talk to someone in person?

I am on board with all of you one star ratings people! I would like to give Allen Park post office zero stars. I purchased three items at the same time. Two of the three did NOT go through the Allen Park post office. The third has been sitting there for nine days with no movement. The package shipped from Illinois on Dec. 7 and landed in that black hole in Allen Park on Dec. 10 never to be seen again. Fortunately, the company in which I ordered it from tracked it as "lost" and made good on it and is resending my gift. No faith in the postal service ever again. Why is this place still open with the hundreds of complaints over "lost" packages?? These postal workers don't have to buy Christmas gifts. They just steal the good stuff coming through and the USPS closes its eyes on this despicable situation!

This facility is terrible. I paid $40 for one day shipping and it took a week. They don't answer the phone, or call back when you leave a message. Yall need to be fired. Idiots.

Package has been stuck here for weeks now.
It was scanned in November 3rd 2016 and has been Delayed ever since!!
This is very frustrating as this service has worked well before!

After reading through months worth of comments saying packages went to Allen Park only to stay for days or disappear completely, I decided to look into this deeper.
First of all, it looks like none of these packages are going to the actual post office in Allen Park. It's really just a small, typical post office, not a sorting facility.
But, two miles to the north, there's a vastly larger building called the Detroit Network Distribution Center, which is still in the city of Allen Park. This was actually pretty hard to find, as it's not really listed much of anywhere, but it would have to be where all the packages are going. It's huge, has the USPS logo right on the front gates, and has tons of semi-trailers full of mail lined all down various sides of the building.

I send out packages every single day. Monday the 14th of November I sent out 4 packages. They left my home town post office and they were headed to Allen Park. They were never to be found again. The last time they were scanned indicated that they had left my my post office then they completely dropped off the tracking system. This leads me to believe that they weren't scanned in upon arrival at Allen Park. I've tried calling there and no one will answer. I've opened investigations and there has been no answers. My post office worker thinks that they may have been stolen, although I've no proof.
I am have found this site and realized I am not alone. This needs to be investigated closely.

I had a package sent to me first class shipping. Was sent the email 4 days ago and it's showing that they can't find my package at all. And this is a very valuable package. I had better get some answers and my package.

I shipped a package to a customer by Priority Mail on 11/8/16. It was supposed to be delivered on 11/12/16, but has been sitting in the Allen Park PO since 11/10/16. Today is 11/18/16! Where the heck is my customer's package????

I've sat on hold for over a 1/2 hour waiting to speak with someone about a lost package, that said was delivered by my tracking number. I Got NOWHERE. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED in the customer service, having to be on hold the entire time of my lunch period at work, and got nowhere! I needed help and no one is able to do that. The Allen Park facility LOST my package, I HAVE proof of them receiving it, and stating that they delivered it, but NEVER DELIVERED it! I have my tracking number, and where the package was handled the whole time it was during shipping. So when it gets to Allen Park Post Office Distribution Center it DISAPPEARS???? How is this possible?? And who took my package?! because it CERTAINLY was NOT delivered to my mailbox!!!

My firend sent me a package from San Francisco using priority mail. The destination is Gulf Breeze, FL but your post office sent it to Allen Park, MI. All merchandise in the package was damaged

I wanted to be the only person to leave a five star review because in my experience with the post office I've never had an issue.

Not sure how I want to rate yet, but seeing all these negative reviews has me absolutely terrified. I used to work at the postal office sorting and processing facility here in Toledo, and it saddens me to hear that they are stealing in the sorting facility in Allen Park!! All these workers here relocated/terminated/displaced for what? So they could keep the plant with the worst case of customer service and thievery open? This makes me side eye the whole system! You can't tell me that USPS doesn't know about the corruption in this plant, they do and turn a blind eye to it because if they wanted to fix this the problem would've been solved long ago. My package was already delayed before it arrived at Allen Park, I'll see if it ever shows up on its second estimated deliver date. Reading all of the negative reviews on this facility and learning what can possibly happen makes me rethink whom I want apart of delivering my packages. They need to bring it on back home... By it I mean our plant

The only reason I'm giving this place a star is because it's the lowest score I can. 2 years ago they lost a priority mail envelope that contained my credit card payment. Now another package has been setting there for over 13 days. Che k the tracking number every morning. Must be a freaking black hole. No one answers the phone and when you try to file a complaint on line, nothing happens except an email from the postal service hoping that the problem was resolved in a timely manner. You got to be kidding me!

Horrifying, I buy vape juice from mechsauce.com and I have to rely on this place every week to two weeks to get my juice, I also have to pay a flat rate $6+ just for 2 day shipping, it's never here on time, and now it gets shipped to Jackson Michigan? I live in Wyandotte, mail doesn't run on Sundays and I swear if I have to wait till Monday to get my juice it's going to really frustrate me. I'm trying my hardest not to curse, I'd rather be professional but it seems like Allen Park Usps isn't so professional. Now it's telling me Technical Difficulties and I can't locate my package? Really? I really wish I didn't have to go through usps ever, I'd never go through them, not worth the money I have to pay for shipping everytime when my stuff never comes on time.

Bought a game on eBay on 4/8/16, it was mailed out on 4/10/16. It arrived at Allen Park post office on 4/12/16 and it's been sitting there since. From now on I will ask the person I buy the item from if they will use UPS or FedEx, I will even pay the extra for shipping charges

This is actually a -100! Why they closed the distribution center in Toledo and kept this one open is beyond me. My packages seem to take a vacation up there for a few days. The last package came from NH, went to MO, then to Allen Park, MI and then to Toledo. I could have driven to NH faster than the mail service can get it to me. And they wonder why they lose money every year!!! Hmmmmmm. . . .

Bought some stuff online, was shipped to the Destination Facility in Allen Park, MI to then be sent to Lansing, MI. Well, expected delivery date was 3/14/16 - no tracking updates and its been sitting there since 9:14 am 3/14/16 and still no tracking updates

HORRIBLE. Ordered a wooden playset for our children, it sat in Allen Park until it became "lost". Over 1,000 lb wooden play structure just somehow disappeared. Funny though, the second one made it through. Someone who works for Allen Park has a nice new wooden play structure in their backyard on us.

WHY OH WHY MUST EVERYTHING WIND UP IN ALLEN PARK?!? It's pretty sad when your child questions why his package is still sitting in Allen Park and what is taking so long to arrive. WORST POST OFFICE SERVICE EVER! I cringe every time I see tracking for my packages. If Allen Park is involved, expect a delay. I've learned not to blame people for slow shipments. I blame Allen Park. No excuse to have items sit or not receive any package shipment updates when tracking the items.
