The Border Mexican Restaurant

This place is the absolute best. Their enchilada sauce is amazing, along with their cheese dip with jalapeños. Erick and Carlos are truly the best, most caring servers! I love this place.

The food is good even if it is the same as most other Mexican restaurants but the service is exceptional and speedy.

I LOVE the Border! The beer is super cold, the service is fast and friendly, and the food is good and reasonably priced! This is our go to place to meet friends and celebrate birthdays.

I just love the atmosphere. You feel like you are part of their family and that sets the atmosphere. Usually you don't have to ask for anything, they are always checking with you at the right time. All the food is wonderful, the salsa is different and very tasty. Just a great place to be with friends and do some fellow shipping. I actually go once a week.

The Border is as good as it is. It would have no problem competing in most other markets. Good food, cold beer, friendly staff. You can't go wrong. Definitely your safest bet if you're looking to eat out

We have been coming to The Border for over five years, partly because the location is close and we absolutely love the staff! Don't expect a lot of creativity in the menu but expect good predictable traditional Mexican food! Sometimes that's exactly what the doctor ordered. Get the border dip with fresh jalapeños

My sister and I have been coming here for 10 plus years. She always gets a steak burrito specially made with rice and beans.

I'm a major fan of their chicken soft tacos with rice and beans. The chicken is shredded unless otherwise depicted. You can get fajita style if you want.

Of course we cannot have our meal with margaritas. Texas style on the rocks.....is our favorite. Most definitely worth the little extra in price.

Staff is always friendly and take the extra time to make sure we are happy with our meal.

We consider them authentic Mexican. It is to be our spot every Friday prior to our move. Now it is on occasion. If only they opened another location.

This place has great food and friendly employees! Great atmosphere! Never had any problems out of this restaurant. I recommend it to everyone to go try it.

Located near West Georgia College, it's the best Mexican restaurant I've ever been to and I don't like Mexican food. It's one of my dads favorite Mexican restaurants. He went there often when he was working close by. The waiting staff are very friendly.

The food is amazing! I frequent Mexican restaurants at least twice a week. An the boarder by far Has some of the best Mexican food I have bet eaten. I would give it 5 stars but the service isn't always good

I would eat here again. In town for business. I've eaten at the Lazy donkey in town before. Either place is the same for me. Typical Mexican food made american style. Service was good. Eat dinner here. Food was typically priced for a place like this. No alcohol or desert for me. Just dinner.

They do have an outdoors area that looked pretty decent. And they look like they can handle pretty good sized crowds. The location is really close to the University.

outdoor patio makes me feel like I'm on vacation; the food is pretty good but super cheap so it doesn't have to that great. servers are hard working and friendly, even though they don't speak a lot of English.

I really enjoyed the food here, it was tasty and authentic. The only thing that wasn't superb about this place was the service, in his defense I think he was busy(even though he only had three tables).I definitely recommend the beef and cheese dip. And my husband said the margarita was awesome! So get one of those too!

The food here is fantastic. I had the chicken burrito and taco with an extra taco and it was great. The chicken was very flavorful! My date had the fish tacos which were equally good. We order the half pitcher of margaritas and it was STRONG! We didn't even order top shelf alcohol. The only thing I would change about our meal were the refried beans, they were a little runny. Overall, we were thoroughly satisfied.

Visited this restaurant a few weeks ago while working in Smyrna! Salsa and Chips were so good...our beer was very cold & yummy! We ordered the mushroom quesadilla with rice & beans! Rice & beans were good but a little disappointed with the quesadilla the mushrooms were really dry and there was very little cheese on it! We will go back and try something else...just think they had an off day with the mushrooms!

Yes, the service wasn't great, but the food and drinks were excellent. We'll be back.

This restaurant is fantastic. It is my favorite Mexican restaurant in metro Atlanta. The food is always fresh and flavorful, the staff is friendly, efficient and helpful. It has a fun authentic feel. I've been three times and always want to come back. Definitely try to table made guac.

I suggest dropping by during a casual lunch. Not a working lunch, mind you- a lunch where you can drink and beer and sit for a while. The lunch specials consist of a ton of food, and are usually under 5 dollars.



Overall: Awesome food, very low prices, non-chain restaurant. The waitstaff is often slightly surly and their English isn't great- but who cares? You're getting a great meal.

The food here is solid. It's pretty obvious that they are serving authentic Mexican cuisine. The cheese dip with jalapeños is right on. Their salsa has just the right kick & isn't chunky, which I like. Great cheese enchiladas. I've had their margaritas too & they're really good as well. Service is kind of meh. You get chips, salsa, queso, drinks all pretty quickly. Food comes out quickly too. But God forbid if you need a drink refill or you want a side order of sour cream, because they don't check on you often. Servers are polite but not overly nice or friendly. Still, if you want good Mexican eats, this is the place. I go from time to time just to have that awesome cheese dip!

There are two things I order when I eat Mexican food: chicken soft taco and cheese dip. That is all I want. Border is the best in the area based on my complex menu. The service could improve, but other than that: cheap good food = four stars.



Also, if you're driving south down Cobb, drive past and make a U-turn at the next light. Kind of difficult to figure out best way to enter lot.
