He or she is capable of physical and mental diagnosis and of being able to prescribe a treatment plan which could include counseling, psychotherapy, medication and, if need be, hospitalization. He or she is also responsible to ensure that your physical state is not the cause of your current emotional state. Dr. Stewart Schwartz specializes in various approaches to individual, couple and family psychotherapy with expertise in child, adolescent and adult psychopharmacology. Dr. Schwartz also specializes in forensic psychiatry and medical acupuncture.
