La Brea Test Only & Smog Check Center

This place is a scam. The guy told me that my car failed the test, that I needed a new muffler and to have my car's "timing adjusted". He kept insisting that I should hire him to fix it. I told him I'd take it to my regular mechanic.



Surprise surprise: My mechanic said that there's nothing wrong with my muffler, and that it's not physically possible to adjust the timing on my make of car. I took it to another smog test and it passed with no problems.



Stay away from this place.

I was in the area and i happen to have my papers with me, so once i saw the big smog check sign i drove rite in. Very professional, got the smog done in 15 min, didn't even put a dent in my schedule. He even offered me a soda which was very kind of him. 2 Thumbs Up! Highly Recommended

JUST HAD MY SMOG DONE AT LA BREA TEST ONLY, AND I JUST WANT TO SAY THAT IT WAS THE MOST PAINLESS THING THAT I HAVE WENT THROUGH..I USUALLY GET NERVOUS IN THESE KIND OF MATTERS TO HEAR THE OUTCOME IF MY CAR PASSED OR FAILED..IM NOT JUST SAYING THIS BECAUSE MY CAR PASSED,E VEN THOUGH IT DOESNT HURT.IT WAS JUST THAT THE SMOG TECH WAS SO PLEASANT AND ANSWERED ALL MY ANNOYING QUESTIONS, HE REALLY MADE ME FEEL AT HOME.. HE NOW HAS A CUSTOMER FOR LIFE..THANKS GEORGE
