This business is new to Wasilla, and like nothing we have. I've been here for high tea for 2 on 2 occasions. Amazing food, friendly service, and after just a couple visits they recognize me and know me by name. A fabulous and welcome addition to our community!

I'm a busy mother of 4 energetic children. On Oct. 8, I walked in with my hungry daughter to buy her a treat. She wanted a blueberry scone. Clumzy Clover Teas and Treasure is a beautiful well-decorated store with lots of pretty things to look at and opportunity to add beautiful hand-painted furniture to home collections.



As I had left my home rather hurriedly, I wasn't adorned with any make-up or jewelry and wearing my cleaning garb, yoga-pants and a hoodie, plus my hair was in a messy pony-tail. I wasn't wearing my Sunday's best, but I didn't look horrid either. It's hard to accept that in this day and age that we can walk into an establishment and be treated with scorn all because of hair color, skin color, the way we're dressed and just made to feel unwelcome, unprivileged and undeserving of genuinely good service. My children and I are Native American. This isn't the first business where we've been treated rudely and sadly it probably won't be the last.



I politely asked a young woman behind the counter for a blueberry scone for my daughter. The young woman hesitated, and a young man came up behind her as if to assist, and I repeated that my daughter would like a blueberry scone, in a very preppy manner, the young man arched his eyebrows sounding incredulous asked, "YOU would like a scone TO GO?" The young man and the young woman didn't want to serve us a scone, but didn't out right ask us to leave either. They took their attention to other customers and went back to ignoring my daughter and I. It was just plain rude!
