A Cut Above

I'm Lynn Scalzo I simply wish to state that I no longer have any vested interest or affiliation with this business or the way business is conducted. It was time to move on due to illness. I thank you for your trust & years of loyalty. I truly hope I made a difference in the care of pets in a salon situation and was able to educate you in the proper care of all animals. God bless!

I've been taking my 3 little terriers to A Cut Above for about 3 years and I would never consider going anywhere else. I never worry about their well being while they're in the care of the groomers because I know that they're safe and in the hands of true professionals. The groomers there take their time with my pets and my dogs are always groomed exactly as I specified. I will be a loyal customer for as long as I own dogs-- and that means for life!!!

I would disagree greatly with Rayyona. Im a breeder handler of English Cockers. Due to poor vision I no longer groom my own animals. I have tried many groomers looking for someone who was familar with this breed. I was very happy to speak with Lynn and felt very comfortable trying her. I was very suprised when I picked my first dog up. She was done exactly as I had asked. It was worth the wait to have it done properly, and I personally know how difficult and time consuming it is to finish a dog this well. Apparently she has groomed for show i the past. Lucky me! I felt and do feel very comfortable leaving my precious babies at A Cut Above. The ladies very very nice, all of them. As I stated earlier I have tried several groomers and found this one to be by far the cleanest and most professional. Its a beautiful shop. You can tell thy take pride in what they do. Its privately owned and not a big franchises and that appeals to me. There is a more personal touch and vested interest when you own your own business I believe. See for yourself thats all I can say. I give credit where credit is due. Thanks and love you girls.

the Groomers where alright but this last time we took are dog they kinda cut him and when we asked about it they instantly got defensive , if they just would have been honest about it , mistakes happen. there Rude & dirty they All act Like there on Drugs or something . i wouldnt recommend them only as a last minute or cheap thing . we will Continue to take are dog to petsmart !

I always take my pomeranians to A Cut Above they are wonderful with my babiesa Gentle and great prices! They take their time and always strive for perfection!

Fast but friendly good service

I called to make an appointment, and they had one available right away. I took me dog down. As i was waithing for Charlie to get done I asked if they had time to do my 2 other dogs. They did so i went to get them. Now all my dogs are clean and happy as I. This will be my new grooming place now. Thank you for everything..

For my High Desert friends. If you have pet grooming needs please consider Lynn the owner of A Cut Above on Mojave. They will be relocating to 7th St. My beloved friend and Cat Reno's tooth was sticking out. I tried to feel it but he would not let me. I took him to a Vet consult which was 15.00, had to pay @5.00 for labs and than they wee going to schedule surgery which was another minimum of $195.00. When the tech touched hiss tooth I saw it was just flipping around and than the Dr examined him and said he needs surgery. He would have to be put under Anesthesia. When I came home I tried to grab tooth but he would not let me. Today I decided to go talk to a groomer I had used once before. Shee told me to bring him in, It took her literally 2 seconds and it was out with no pain or bleeding. She would not even except money from me. That is all the unethical Vet would have had to do.
