Awesome company. They are very nice and diagnose the problems quickly. Tim and his crew are great. They were very helpful, showed up on time and were very courteous. I highly recommend them.

Im a young graduate student and I just bought my house last summer in Tucson. It was a scary decision for me because as a single female, I wasnt sure if I could handle the expense. Up until a couple of days ago, everything was fine. Then my refrigerator wasnt cooling in the bottom part. The freezer was fine, everything was still frozen. But, the lower part was warm. I called a friend of mine who told me his parents used a company called Dependable Refrigeration and they seemed pretty pleased with them. Living alone, I was very reluctant to have strangers come to my home. What made me feel better about calling them is he told me they prescreened their guys (well, I guess a woman could work there too, so I dont want to seem like Im stereotyping). When I called, I did ask about that and was told it was true, so I thought that was a good thing. Plus, the receptionist told me they were family owned and have been working in the Tucson area for over 20 years so I figured if theyre a rip off or if theyve had problems with their employees they wouldnt have lasted so long. I set up a call and they came out when they said and the technician knew right away what the problem was. He did have to order a part, but it came in pretty quick and I had no problem setting up another time for them to come out. He didnt try to upsell me on extra parts I didnt need and said the company is proud that they are known for being fair and making only the necessary refrigeration repairs. Another thing I appreciated is that he said if I had any problems at all Dependables main number and someone will be sure to get right back with me if it was after hours. But, he assured me that he repaired my refrigerator and that it would start cooling again real soon. Its hard being a single female and depending on others to make even the simplest repairs in your home. Its hard to know who to trust and who not to trust. This is my first time dealing with Dependable Refrigeration, but I can say I feel comfortable enough to call them again if my refrigerator breaks down again. He also told me they repair other appliances too, not just refrigerators. I have a new washer, but my dryer is an older model, so that was good to know. I asked about central air and he said, yes, they do that as well. I dont know a lot about air conditioning, but I do know I dont want to be without it in Tucson! All in all, it was a good experience. Having my refrigerator stop working was stressful in itself, so Im glad I found a company that is easy to work with and is honest. I felt very comfortable with my experience with Dependable Refrigeration and I give them all stars!

Their fine print claims they won't be responsible for whatever they "estimate." This ,means that consumer will bear the cost of their replacing everything on your unit "except the sink" so to speak. Even if you bring in another professional and say, "Hey, look at his professional advice. It's different than yours," or you try to tell them, "Wait a minute, now, you charged me for a wrong estimate and now you want to keep your money?" That should not be allowed, but these folk have their own battle plan and it does not include standing up for ethical calls in the field. They're interested primarily in making the most ROI they can via charging and overcharging common people for as much as you let them get away with. I say stay away cause it's not worth the gamble.

Also wondering if fresh beets are aolewld? I usually roast them in the oven and toss lightly with olive oil. Perhaps someone has a list of what vegetables aren't aolewld on the diet as I've heard that butternut squash isn't aolewld but not sure if this is true.thanks

The office called to let me know tech was on his way. He arrived in a timely manner, did a good job and spent time explaining what he had uncovered and how it was going to be repaired. He was courtesy, he put everything back together and left no mess.We sell appliances and trust me not all service companies are even close to being equal, I am sure you here all the complaints, so I took time to let you know that this was a pleasant experience. I will be keeping your name at the top of our list for any repair calls we get from our clients. I hope someone takes the time to let Tim know he was appreciated.Mike Auxier
