AASTRO Transmission & Auto Repair

This was the worst service I've ever had they're prices are way over priced i asked him how much was he paying for the transmission that he was getting for my jeep and he didn't want to tell me because he charged me way more then what is considered to be fair. I found the same one with less miles for 1500 and he charged me almost 4 Grand just for the transmission alone. Save yourself some time and money by not giving these guys your business they have horrible service, The exhaust manifold as well was 120 at Napa and he ways trying to charge me 500 for it. They are out just to rip you off and do not care about the satisfaction of the customer at all please take my advice other wise pay the price!

Once I found Jimmy at Aastro - that's the only place I take my cars for service. Its always like seeing an old friend. I tell him I don't want to see him too often but just often enough.

I bring my cars, friends, neighbors cars to James at Aastro transmission for routine services and for major repairs. He always treats me great and always explains things to me so I can understand them with out making me feel vulnerable. He sends me reminders,coupons and great deals for my car services. Jimmy and his mechanics are great. My car just stopped running on Speedway. As it turned out it wasn't too far from Aastro. The cars were honking and racing around me. Then Jimmy and one of his mechanics came out onto Speedway. The stopped traffic and hand pushed my car into a parking lot across the street from their shop. The mechanic opened the hood and then left to go back and get some tools and a black box. 5 minutes later they had my car running. They asked me to drive back to their shop so they could check it out. They found that the battery cable was corroded. They cleaned it, charged my battery, but they didn't charge me anything! However, I did bring them back a batch of my chocolate chip cookies. My husband and I take our cars to Jimmy at Aastro for everything. We've been going there for over two years. When I saw what the other person had written in their review I felt I should to tell you about how professional, polite (and funny) Jimmy has always been with us.

Very rude staff. Supposedly did an electronic diagnostic on my transmission but failed to notice the shifting module was missing. I don't know how you do an electronic diagnostic and don't notice that a component of the computer is not there! Charged $100 for electronic diagnostic and told me there was 'internal damage' and it would cost another $350 to remove and open the transmission to see what the problem was - they said it could cost thousands to fix. I sold the vehicle at a huge financial loss...the new owner went to another transmission shop and had it fixed for $200. They only had to put in a new shifting module. There was no internal damage and the vehicle continues to run. They did not tell the truth and they are not honest. The are rude and not one bit helpful. Unless you have money to burn or throw away - steer clear of this establishment and find yourself an honest and reputable rebuilder for your transmission repairs.
