Crowns
It is possible to successfully replace adult teeth that have been knocked out. Once cleaned, try to place the tooth back into the socket. If you can’t do this, put the tooth in a small container of milk or saliva. Call our office for an emergency appointment. We will put your tooth back in and stabilize it to allow your gums to reattach. The area will need to be closely monitored for some time to fully evaluate the outcome.

Pulpotomy
Root canals involve treating decay that is inside of the tooth. If the inside of the tooth, known as the dental pulp, is damaged it will gradually decay if left within the tooth. The pulpotomy involves removing the pulp, cleaning out the root canals, and packing the canals with material that will help restore the tooth until it is time for it to exfoliate (or fall out on its own naturally).

Some discomfort is normal for 2 to 4 days following root canal therapy. In some cases the tooth and surrounding tissue may be sore for a few weeks following treatment.
