Primary Care
Our goal is to schedule patients as quickly as possible, and have acute care appointments available to meet your needs every day. We pride ourselves on communicating clearly with you and your primary care or referral physician in a timely manner.
Emergency Care
In the case of an emergency after hours, or on a weekend or holiday, please call our main line and our 24-hour answering service will assist you in reaching a surgeon. If you do not receive a call back, please try again as we may be busy in the Operating Room. If you are still unable to get a hold of someone, contact the Emergency Department at Baystate Medical Center and a member of our team will be notified.

“Discouraged and worried, I sought help from specialists in Boston. They confirmed that I had hypothyroidism, which is a metabolic disorder. While it was good to have a medical diagnosis, they really offered no options to curb the weight gain. My greatest concern was my health. By now I was diabetic, and despite taking medications, I felt like the odds were against me; my father and other relatives had passed away from complications of diabetes, and I honestly believed that would be my fate as well. Dr. Haag earned his undergraduate degree in biotechnology from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and his medical degree from Thomas Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He completed his surgical residency at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital/Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City, and an advanced laparoscopy fellowship, with a focus on bariatric surgery, at Hackensack University Medical Center in New Jersey. He was also a research fellow at the Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston, a Harvard Medical School affiliate.

That is not always the case. As a rule, plastic surgery will not be considered for at least a year or two after the operation, as sometimes the skin will mold itself around the new body tissue. Give the skin the time it needs to adjust before you decide to have more surgery.
