One of the many important maintenance operations that will keep your car in peak condition is keeping up on oil changes. Oil changes are a cost effective service that will allow your vehicle to operate smoothly and efficiently. Frequent oil changes will also help prevent costly repairs throughout the life of your vehicle.
Starter Repair
All the enhanced features, like powered seats and onboard navigation, mean there is a much bigger load put on the electrical system in the cars we drive today. While the capabilities are more complex, the electrical system consists of three basic elements – the battery, starter and alternator. The battery supplies power to the starter. The alternator then provides the battery the necessary energy to power the car. Unless each of these components is working properly, your car won’t start or run as it should.
Alternator Repair
Your vehicle’s electrical system starts with the battery, so it is a good idea to have your electrical system checked when you have your battery replaced. At that time, the alternator and starter can be inspected to avoid potential problems. You should have your electrical system checked sooner if you observe problems such as clicking or grinding when starting, dim headlights, or a warning light illuminated. Problems with steering, brakes, windows or other power features can indicate the need for electrical system service.
Engine Diagnostic
Today’s vehicles incorporate complex on-board computer technology. On-board systems enhance vehicle performance and are essential in completing thorough engine diagnostics to evaluate the vehicle problems that may arise. The “Check Engine” light displays when your vehicle is not running properly. Engine diagnostics help to quickly pinpoint what part of the engine is malfunctioning.
Emissions Inspection
Many states require vehicle emission testing for registration. If your car failed the emissions test, don’t worry – we can help!
Transmission fluid lubricates every moving part inside your transmission. In an automatic transmission, transmission fluid acts as a coolant and serves as viscous agent that transmits power from the engine to the transmission. Manual transmissions use a variety of oils including regular motor oil and heavy duty gear oil. Routine maintenance is the best way to prevent costly transmission failure. Transmission service should be done every 30,000 miles, or as recommended by the vehicle manufacturer.
A sound steering and suspension system allows the driver to maneuver safely and provides ride comfort while minimizing bumps, vibrations and noise. As essential components in the suspension system, shocks and struts must be in optimal condition. Worn shocks and struts adversely impact how your wheels contact the road, and may cause dangerous swaying, hydroplaning, as well as poor road handling and holding.

CV Boot Replacement
CV boots are the protective rubber boots that cover the flexible ends of the drive axles. The boot has an accordion like appearance with a large end and a small end resembling a funnel. The CV boots are attached to the axle with a metal band clamp on either end of the boot, which presses the CV boots against the axle to keep them in place. Special grease contained within each boot lubricates the CV joint. CV boots keep the grease from drying out and also keep dirt and grit from mixing with the grease. Contaminated grease forms an abrasive paste that can quickly damage the CV joint.
Coolant, or antifreeze, absorbs heat from the engine and disperses it through the radiator. It is also distributed through the heat exchanger in the passenger compartment when you use the vehicle’s heating system. Coolant is usually a 50/50 ratio mixture of ethylene or propylene glycol and water. Over time, deposits that can clog the cooling system will accumulate in your vehicle’s radiator. A coolant flush and fill prevent these deposits and overheating, which is the most common cause of engine damage and breakdowns. It is recommended for most vehicles that antifreeze be changed seasonally, and fluids replaced every 30,000 miles. See your owner’s manual for your vehicle manufacturer’s recommendations.
Tire Rotation – Tire rotation is a key factor in assuring even tread wear. Depending on the type of vehicle and your specific tread wear pattern, different types of rotational patterns will be most beneficial. Having your tires rotated by automotive professionals will provide this service as well as the opportunity to detect other issues before them become serious problems.

Auto Maintenance
TPMS sensors have an average life expectancy of 8 to 10 years, after which they will require replacement. Also, TPMS batteries eventually die and need replacement. This means that TPMS service should be part of regularly scheduled maintenance. TPMS sensors can be moved or re-used in a new set of tires. TPMS rebuild service rebuilds the valve portion of the sensor to make sure it is tightly sealed and properly installed. A bad seal or incorrect installation may lead to wear and corrosion of the sensor, decreasing its service life.
Belts and Hoses Service
Components in your vehicle, such as the water pump and the power steering pump, rely on belts and hoses to sustain operation. Continuous exposure to heat, vibration, and harmful chemicals, can cause cracks and leaks; as a result, belts and hoses have the shortest life span compared with other parts in your vehicle.
