I brought my puppy in a couple of times and they seemed really nice but I was quickly turned off by my 3rd visit. My dog was diagnosed with an ear infection and the Dr said come in my office and let me tell you a story about dog ears. He proceded to tell me about my two options surgury or ear drops. Then after 15 mins of this convo, he said to me "well out the goodness of my heart im not going to charge you for a office consultation". Im like WTH???? I didnt ask to talk to you you called me into your office. I should have never went back after the first appointment when he made the comment "Im not the type of doctor to nickle and Dime people" ***Warning*** when anyone says that they really are trying to nickle and dime you!!!! Needless to say im never going back there again

I have been a client of Dr. Shulak's for over 15 years. He knows what he is doing and is not trying to rip you off! With nearly 5 decades of experience as a veterinarian, he knows what he is looking at and what it takes to give your pet the best chance of living a long and healthy life. That includes things like yearly blood work that can catch illness that do not show in your pet. Can it be costly? Yes it can. How much is your pet's life worth to your? Owning an animal, especially birds, is a major and expensive responsibility.

Yes they did that to me too. Even the information they gather when you first come in they ask for your employers name, address and phone number. I did not give that information and the girl at the desk asked why. She said don't you work. I said yes and she said what's the co. name. I said I pay cash so why do you need it. She said for the record. I didn't give it and just said I couldn't remember. It seemed to me from the start they were crooks looking to see how much money they can get. I'm from NY and moved to MI just last mo and need a vet. My pet needed a few updates on shots but the doctor tried to talk me into a massive amount of spending with fear. Plus they charged me for a total of $120.00 for one shot and office visit. The doctor wrote the amount on a pad and handed it to the girl at the desk to collect from me. Said he'd keep my pet in the back until I'm done paying. I never went back.
