Abangoua African Hair Braiding

I went here with the expectation that "two people will work on your hair", as quoted by the man I made the appointment with. This was the first problem because only one person was available to work on my hair. Then, when I inquired regarding how long it would take, I was told, "not long at all". Well, 10 hours later, at 4:30 in the morning, I was wore out! Also, they left the ends of my box braids loose! When I woke up from sleeping, my ends looked wild and my braids were coming apart! I went back there to show them and they told me that "they just need to be dipped again". They also denied me the option of having the ends burnt because "it won't look right". So, I'm left with half done box braids that I've paid $250 for and they aren't done correctly, even unravelling! Will NEVER go there again!

This was my second visit. Took my teens for micros and cornrows. For sake of time, it was what I expected. Braids are tight to the scalp so be sure to get some menthol spray or oil conditioner to ease the scalp. Price was acceptable. Hair was included.

I would recommend Abah to all my friends. I have been there twice and I was pleased with the service each time. They ladies that did my braids were quite friendly and the prices were in range with any other braid shop.

Horrible horrible. Do not go there. You will be waiting forever just for cornrows. The manager or whatever he is does not know how to schedule people at all. I arrived at 3:00pm with a appointment and finally just walked out and left at 8:00pm because I was tired of waiting. I dont know why I stayed that freaking long. Never again will I go to them again.

Make sure you ask about the total price, with your hair or their hair. If you have an appointment I would ask for a discount if I had to wait. I know they take walk-ins but four hours after your scheduled appointment and you are still waiting not cool.

They are fast. I will give them that, but if you tell me your price includes the hair and I bring my own I do not expect to be charged the same amount. Needless to say I won't go to them again!
