The worst movers of its kind!

I got an invoice for the $25 but No copy of invoice on the final payment of the scammed $1415 payment we made. Not as agreed on original negotiation. Yet, he did not even complete the job. Started collecting payment when they were just 75% finished. Extremely rude as well.
But 2 weeks ago I was canvassing for movers, I was the one who called,spoke with & canvassed around for prices. Jack's gave the most reasonable proposal but now i know why. Because it comes w/ a hefty price. When I registered for the reservation, i placed my husband's name. I still have the email proposal which clearly says $325 for the first 2 hrs for a 3 man crew and $99/ hr after W/ an option to offer a flat rate after analyzing everything after completion of work.
Fast forward. Appt was at 11am. They arrived at 1145am. My husband calls me so I can show them around to let them know what needs to go & what needed to stay. Then they started to work. Most of the lifting were done by the 2 boys. The old man mainly stood downstairs, ordered them around & fixed the stuff inside the truck. When we got to the new place..they brought in some of our stuff.
But some of the things were still not in their places.

At that point, my husband left to get the mattresses we bought, that was when he came to me & ask for payment & they haven't even put the boxes & some furnitures inside the house & some of our stuff was still inside the truck. So I said.. can we finish the job first. I also told him if can we make sure to watch the boxes since I noticed inverted boxes w/ signs that says .. this side up.

Then he said well in the contract your husband signed it said this is the time we do the payment. So I was shocked. I said why would you be dealing w/ my husband when you were dealing w/ me. I did all the negotiations on the phone w/ you. & he said but the reservations on your husband's name. I told him.. I told you specifically i was going to put it under his name but I'll be the one you'll be dealing w/. Then he accuses me at that point whether or not i will be paying for the services. Rudeness! In front of my children.
I told him I am but let's finish the job first.
& he said that's not what the contract states & he wasn't even showing it to me for me to read it just showing me my husband's signature.
I also told him i have the original proposal that he sent. & I can pull that up. He refuses. I told him , you claimed you wanted to help me save money. You said in your proposal the assessment only comes after the job is done. Why were you offering an assessment before? The completion is even less than 6 hrs.. an 8hr job is only $985..why would you be charging $1300?
He refuses to listen.. & threatens to close up the truck & leave w/ our belongings! Imagine that? So I decide to pay to get it over w/. They unload the stuff then he gets back on the truck & leaves w/out bringing the stuff inside the house! Yes.. I got scammed.I am scared that this old guy cheats his workers pay as well. Or treats his workers badly. He is the type. What's worst, I even fed them.. coz I'm the type to help. But this guy has no conscience.
They broke our lamp, our wall has a hole.. my husband said he is definitely taking him to court. He is furious when he found out! He left already when he came home!
The sad part.. instead of this old man apologizing for his actions he lies to the core.. it is like a lifestyle for him. it comes naturally to him. I totally am scared for him.
He need to come to his senses. There is this famous saying.. "There's a natural law of karma that vindictive people, who go out of their way to hurt others, will end up broke and alone." One day.. if he doesn't stop what he's doing, scamming people.

He doesn't think about customer service and quality of service. He only thinks of money! I mean what kind of crappy movers are you. Next time don't do busines...

They didn't show up on moving day, which was a total bummer. They said they had some issues with their employees and offered to bump the move to the day after. We wouldn't be able to make that work so we went with another company. Bigger issue: they never returned our deposit. Looking at other reviews on other sites, I'm noticing this is a pattern. DON'T GIVE YOUR MONEY TO JACK'S VALLEY MOVERS!! You may not get anything from it except excuses and you'll have a real hard time getting a refund!

Absolutely the most deplorable company and owner I have ever dealt with. Complete scammer. Changed my move date making everything fall out of line because he didn't finish another job. Showed up the next day 2 1/2 hours later than he said. Tried to charge me more, kept complaining about missing his football game. Since I was now stuck I tried to make a call to get more money for the extortion I was now in and he got in his truck and just left. So he screwed up my entire move and then left me high and dry. This is by far the worst company and worst service I have ever NOT received. I would steer clear of this used car salesman of a business owner. I wish I could do zero stars! Completely unreliable.
