Best BBQ ever!! Great atmosphere and happy to bring my friends from Ohio! Will be a MUST stop on future trips!
If you're into barbecue you have got to go here.. the smell from blocks away lure lines around corners.. no comfort space here..
This place has lines out the door everyday. They cook a set amount of food everyday and once it is gone it is gone. People leave everyday without food, but it is so good THEY COME BACK to try again!
I came all the way from Los Angeles to try this place and was not disappointed. They only make a certain amount of food everyday so they do sell out. The ribs were incredibly tender and just fell off the bone. The brisket was also very good. I preferred the sweet sauce the best. Too bad I don't live in the area but if i ever get back here I will be going here again.
The Executive Chef told me "these ribs a gonna change your life" and it was no hyberbole. The ribs at Pappys are unreal; perfect balance of sweet and smokey. The have a beautiful crisp outside and tender, fall off the bone interior. Unfortunately we weren't able to try the brisket or burnt ends because they were sold out. If you're in St. Louis you need to get yourself to Pappys.
the food is great. I have also been to Bogart's. Both places are great

i love goin there they have the best bbq every nd sweet potato fries..the long lines are so very worth it.
My daughter is getting married next summer. We met with the caterer at Pappy's BBQ. She was very nice and had some great suggestions. Looking forward to working with this establishment over the next several months.

Provided by SuperpagesNeat place, great brisket, pulled pork, also had sweet potato fries and fried corn on the cob all great, I went at 1130am by noon place was packed! Got to meet Pappy himself too, will haft to visit again next time thru.

Provided by SuperpagesTried it yesterday 1/13/10, bit into it prepared to tug at it and to my pleasant surprise the meat came off the bone. I was in hog heaven. There goes my mission to become a vegetarian. I stay in U. City but it will be worth the trip.

Provided by SuperpagesPappy's brisket is so tasty and tender, no sauce is needed. The ribs are unbelievable. I even enjoyed the pulled chicken, which has an abundance of large pieces of tender, moist chicken pulled right off the bone.However, if you are a sauce person, try the sweet one. It is out of this world!It is crowded at lunch during the week, so if you go at an "off" time during the week or weekend, you won't have much of a line. But, if you do have to contend with a line, be assured the service is fast, and the people in line with you are pleasant to talk to...After all, they are all on a mission for the same thing you are---mouth-watering BBQ!
