Dental Examination
Nightguards are sometimes recommended during jaw joint (temporomandibular joint/TMJ) therapy to treat dysfunctional joint movement. As part of your complete dental examination, Dr. Dodson will evaluate both jaw joints and each tooth surface to observe for signs of distress and address any problems as needed to keep to your smile healthy and pain-free.

Teeth Cleaning
We will measure the space between your teeth and gums during your dental cleaning visits. Combined with diagnostic dental xrays, this process will help reveal any abnormal ‘pockets’ that are a sign of periodontal disease.
Fluoride Treatment
We recommend that our patients visit our office every 3-6 months for routine preventive care. At this visit, your dental hygienist will remove stains, plaque and tartar build-up from the surfaces of the teeth. We will take necessary digital xrays and Dr. Dodson will perform a dental examination to evaluate the condition of the teeth, gums and jaw joints. Dental Sealants
A dental sealant is a plastic coating that is painted onto the chewing surface of a tooth to seal deep grooves, as these are prone to attract decay-causing bacteria. Sealants require no drilling or anesthetic; they create a smooth surface that is easier to keep clean and can last for years.
