Pompei Pizza Restaurant

The food is delicious, the pizza is awesome. They are by far one of the best around. The staff is always friendly and welcoming as are the owners. The dinner dishes are huge and filling and very excellent. They are a top pic for me and all of my family and friends for delicious Italian food.

I've been told for years about going to this pizza shop. I always stayed loyal to my favorite pizza not giving it a second thought. My friend tells me the pizza is really good and the knots are good too. I ordered a large pizza half pep. and a hald dozen knots.



When I got there, there were two employees standing in front of the counter watching a baseball game. One guy behind the counter and he was yelling at the bus boy. Just seemingly treating him horrible.



The guy didn't even greet me in a polite way. Told him I was picking up an order he grabbed it and tossed the box at the glass table top where the other two employees were standing. As soon as that happend the two employees huried up and did nothing but move away from the counter.



When you eat pizza you expect a certain amount of grease and oil but the amount on this pizza was insulting, I used two paper towels to mop up all the oil off of ONE slice. The sauce was lacking in any real taste. My Overall experience was very disappointing.

I ate lunch here yesterday with five guys from work. What service and quality of food! The pizza was fresh and served promptly. There is such a selection that I'll go back again and try another slice or two. The owner, Vinny, came by to greet us and check on how we were doing - a nice touch. I'm going back with my family for dinner one night this week to give my wife a day off from cooking! Really impressed with their style of cooking and service A+++

I've been a regular customer for three years now and their pizza, pinwheels, calzones and dinner dishes can't be beat! I always go home with leftovers from a dinner meal because the portions are large. Good cooking like Momma would do if she was working in the back of the place. A good find if you want to treat yourself to Italian food.

A rare jewel in the suburbs. Great food with homestyle cooking and always extra large portions. You never leave the place empty handed - always a doggie bag for lunch the next day! Vinny and Franco make the best pizza around town with proof to the reason for a waiting line when you arrive. The wait-staff is great; if you are in the Rocky Point area make it a planned pit stop to sample some fine Italian cuisine. You'll be back again and again with friends!

I have noticed more and more about Pompei Pizza as I have been going their now on a regular basis. The food is good, although the attitude of one of the counter men is very rude. Seen being nasty to other workers and waitresses. Each time I go in for my regular pizza lunch I notice this more and more. I mean, everything else that I can SEE is very good. Just my thoughts.
