Prime Windows will boast about the superb work that their company strives for but they can’t be trusted, they will take money for work that was never performed. Employee Richard Gagnon came to our house for an estimate; he claimed that they were a respectable family company trying to make a living. We decided to hire them and gave them a deposit for 2 windows to be replaced. The next day we realized we had other financial obligations and called to cancel the windows until a later date. Richard Gagnon reassured us that he would send back our check. After this his son “accidentally” cashed the check, and Richard Gagnon called and assured us that our money would be returned. We have since called him multiple times and he claims that they sent the money back to us. He has stopped answering our phone calls and does not return our call when we leave a voicemail. We are aware that we will never see this money again but we feel that it is important to warn people about this company. You can’t trust them to do honest work.

Update: After the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General were contacted and they tried to get our money back Prime Windows sent a check to pay us back.

I'm the owner of Prime Windows. The claims of Rebecca B are totally false. She got her deposit back in a timely manner. At the same time she contacted the Dept of consumer protection for a claim in the guarantee fund for the same amount. She lied to them and didn't contact them that we returned the deposit. So she stole from the state. It's easy for dishonest people to write anything on line. We have been in business since 1992. We haven't stayed in business this long by ripping people off.

My initial interaction with this company was a negative one, but they have rectified the situation. In fact they have gone above and beyond to make it right and I am satisfied with what they have done. Their work is very good and looks great...can't complain about that. And they offer very easy and reasonable financing as well.

I hired this company to replace my roof, gutters and add gutter covers. I decided to cancel the contract 3 days later. I contacted Richard Gagnon, Sr. by phone to cancel and asked if he would require the notice in writing. He said no. I decided to try and deliver written notice of cancellation anyway and went to the address indicated in the contract. Prime Windows was no longer at that address. Mr. Gagnon came to my home the next week and offered a lower price for the job, which I declined to accept. He then stated he would refund my deposit. Despite further assurance that I would recieve a check, I have yet to receive a refund.

Great experience with them. The owner Rich came to oversee installation in my CT home and then in my Rhode Island home. Highly recommend them.
