        Founded in 1937, E. G. Hewitt Intermediate School serves more than 300 students in grades four and five. The school s core curriculum includes English, math, science, social studies and language arts. Its character education programs build self-esteem, demonstrate conflict resolving skills, encourage tolerance and develop positive student behaviors. E. G. Hewitt Intermediate School provides the Meadowlands Area YMCA s Early Morning Child Care Program. The school s parent-teacher organization sponsors various fundraising events and recreational programs. It has a library that stocks a variety of textbooks, storybooks, encyclopedias, picture dictionaries, and fiction and nonfiction books. E. G. Hewitt Intermediate School is a part of the Ringwood Public School District. The school is located in Ringwood, N.J.
