Alpha Tire & Total Car Care

I've had some issues with my car as of recent, and Alpha Tire has fixed them efficiently, both in cost and in the quality of their work. John is a upfront kind of guy, and his team is friendly and very competent. car trouble is never fun, but when it happens... these guys know what they're doing.

John at Alpha Tire has been my go to guy these past six months. He found me a great deal on tires over the summer and explained everything they were doing. This past week I needed another new tire, and while he wasn't able to get one, he walked me through how to get it and then got me right in to put the new tire on. Thankful for the great and friendly service at Alpha Tire!

The guys at Alpha Tire took really good care of me, had a big transmission job no one wanted to touch it,those guys got into no problem, had me on the road in two days, and they quoted me a thousand under what other shops quoted me. I would recommend them to anyone swinging in through town or as your regular mechanic. JL

I usually don't write reviews for car shops but Alpha Tire is definitely an exception to the rule. John and his staff took care of the car issues we had and since then, we bring all of our cars to this shop. Price is competitive and reasonable. As a matter of fact, we tried calling other shops but nobody can beat their price. Thank you John and staff for taking care of us! Highly recommended.

A WOW!!! experience for me! My two cars-one a 2011 and the other 2000 have had some major work done at Alpha Tire & Total Car Care. The entire staff from John to all of the guys made sure we were running smooth. Car repairs can be scary and costly but at Alpha Car Care it was easy and affordable. If you have time in the waiting room you end up enjoying the conversation and the time just breezes by.

Alpha tire is a great place to bring your vehicle for repairs. They treat you like family and do a very thorough job maintaining your car or truck. I recommend this business to anyone who expects honest, quality work done to their vehicle.

Haha these people are too cool. They take well care of you and your car. They take care of any questions you have and will help you out as much as possible. Johnny is also very friendly! Great Staff. The only bad thing is that I think they shouldn't be where they're at now. Move closer to downtown or something! :D

great place great prices went in for oil change charged 20 bucks for everything plus topped off all my fluids and rotated my tires and inspected the car and made some recommendations great shop they were quick and friendly would recommend to all

John and the entire crew at Alpha Tire were my Angels of Mercy yesterday. First, I didn't realize how close I was to an accident with a split tire, worn out brakes and filthy oil filters. At first, I thought these folks were giving me the run around because I was a woman and they wanted to just sell me a job. That's wasn't the case at Alpha Tire. I was treated with great respect, invited to see the problems with my car and the repair in progress. These are the friendliest folks I've met in a long time, especially when a couple days before the miracle happened, I was treated poorly at two Reno car repair places who were apparently so hungry they would steal by misrepresentation from me. I also want to mention that the charges were more than reasonable and were less than those with other companies. I thank each and every person who helped me and I will be a forever customer at Alpha Tire Company MaeAnne and Robb Drive, Reno, Nevada. Thanks again to these Angels of Mercy.

Love John and the entire Alpha Tire crew! Found them with a direct mail flier: $16.99 oil change & tire rotation, couldn't beat the price! I asked for a complete inspection (free), because I was driving to Montana that weekend (taking my oldest to college), and I didn't want anything to go wrong. They found a leaking differential (small fix), and I needed new differential fluid that had seriously degraded (sulphur smelling and brown). Funny thing was, the last time I'd had the oil changed at the dealership, the systems report sheet they gave me had the differential box checked with "leaking" written next to it, but they said nothing about it, and I didn't notice the report until I'd gotten home, so I let it go another 3K miles. The Alpha pros noticed it right away and told me why I needed to fix this pronto tonto! So glad I went in for that oil change... would have hated to have my engine seize up on the way to Missoula, or coming back! This morning, my battery died, and my check engine light came on after the jump, so I drove straight to Alpha (near my house off Robb Dr.), because I knew they could take care of it in a jiffy, and they did!

I found these guys reading their reviews on here. The shop was a little out of my way but well worth the drive. John is super nice and their service is amazing. Definitely recommending them to everyone. Don't go anywhere else, this is the spot!

Im a 24 year old female and getting my car fixed is a hassle everytime because I feel like I am always being ripped off, I mean, what do I know about fixing cars and buying parts? Then I went to Alpha Tire. John is so nice and honest, he fixed my rack and pinion for me and then a few months later i took it back for new rotors and brake pads. Thanks to Alpha Tire, I now have an established relationship with an honest mechanic who does awesome work!! As long as I live in reno I will not be going anywhere else! Thank you John.

I've been taking my Jaguar to Alpha for about a year now. John and the guys are great. Friendly, honest and have always taken care of my needs for the car. Gave me a ride home when the work was going to take awhile.



John has always been fair with pricing and his quotes are right on the money everytime.

My wife has a Mercedes and we take it to Alpha as well. Never any problem.

This is being written after our second visit. For this last round of service, they quoted us a price in January and still honored it 2 months later. We are extremely happy with the quality of work we have had on our vehicle and plan on bringing my wife's car in to get the work she needs. They are very friendly and a pleasure to work with. Oh and they offer free wifi while you wait.

The reason I went to Alpha Tire and Total Car Care is because I looked for the best reviews in reno on yellow pages. I recently moved to reno and I'm only 20 so I didnt know anything about my car or what to expect with getting it fixed at a shop. After my experience I know why they have such good reviews. John was excellent and friendly. I went back almost a month later and he remembered everything that we talked about. Everyone there is really friendly and professional. They have amazing deals for everything. Basically, I was very pleased and needless to say that is where I will be going for anything with my car. Best experience ever.

Joe, John and the guys are, simply put, Awesome! I called various places regarding new tires for my car. Joe quoted me the lowest price in Reno. I went to have my front tires replaced, they completed this in an expedient fashion. John informed me that I needed new brakes for the front of my car and took the time to explain to me what was going on and they were basically metal on metal. I made an appointment for the following week to get my brakes done. Once again Joe and John gave me the greatest deal in Reno. Before leaving both Joe and John asked me to please not drive unless I absolutely had to. The brakes are that seriously eroded. I listened, because of the honest concern for my personal safety I could see and feel coming from them. Due to my finances, the guys understood and have worked with me and my car repairs helping me to have safe and reliable transportation for myself and my mother. If you are looking for reliable workmanship, lowest prices and friendly caring service, then Alpha Tires is the place to go. I have been to Alpha Tires 4 times and I am returning for my complete tuneup this week. Alpha Tires and the men who work there are absolutely a car owners new best friend.
