Dr. Laurel E Wright, MD

I was referred by my physician because me and my husband were trying to have a baby and as a patient there I definitely wouldn't recommend this place for any of your female needs. At my current physician I had just had a pap. well I had mentioned this on my first appointment and told the dr she could get the results from my physician because of the cost she said" I haven't checked you so we have to do another one" with resistance I let her but was so upset. Well she then said my husband she get a semen analysis to see if maybe that was the reason we couldn't conceive. well he went to do that and we had asked how log it would take to get results back being that the specimen had to be brought back in 40 minutes from when I was produced. Well we waited 2 hours and called and they said they were unsure as to why we were told that, that I would take 2 days. so irritated we waited the 2 days.i then called back and still didn't get my results because "they haven't came back". well after a little over a week I decided to call back when I called this time which was yesterday, they said they still don't have the results. I was then beyond irritated and asked if I could just call the lab myself the receptionist with had an attitude and said sure. I hung up and immediately called the lab they said they did have results ready and they would fax them over right away. I said how long will it take she said about 20 minutes I said I cant wait that long they are about to close for the day and I want my results. She said she understands that she would send them over right now that I was on the phone with her. once it was sent I hung up waited 10 minutes to call back to have them read to me and when I called once again the receptionist had an attitude and said " im sorry am unfortunately our fax machine has been down all day." I told her she could have told me this when I called the first time. I told her I was "pissed off" and I thought it was BS well she said nothing I can do.i told her ill be calling back tomorrow for my results and as soon as they come in a want a call. she agreed. I then said I will no longer be a patient to cancel all future appointments. she said she would be happy to have a good night. I called back today at about 2:30 pm because I still haven't heard back and they been open since 9:00 am. when I called they said they did have the results hold until someone can read them to me. I waited for the dr, which was who was supposed to read them and the dr nurse read them to me(not the d) I told her I would like to cancel all appointments and talk to the office manager and get a number also to complain to someone higher. The office manager got on the line. I explained everything above to her. she did not apologize once and only made excuses as to why I never received a call. I explained I worked in a dr office and I know protocol and this should have been handled very differently. she continued to make excuses still with n apology I asked for a higher up and she said there was no one that the run their office and that the dr is well aware of my complaint that she was standing next to the nurse who read my results. Which confuses me because she should have gotten on the phone herself and corrected or apologized for the situation and yet didn't. I knew my complaint would be no use I told her I that myself and that I will no longer be seeing them that ill just let nature take its course. I DO NT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU WANT TO GO THROUGH THE SAME THING I DID. WHERE THEY CARE MORE ABOUT THE MONEY FOR THE EXAMS THE VISITS RATHER THEN THE PAITENTS HOW THEY ARE TREATED AND THEIR NEEDS.

I was referred to this office by a friend for ob care with my second pregnancy and I was considered high risk at that time so I figured they would take pretty good care of me, boy was I wrong! I remember waiting 45 min in the room just for the NP to come in for my check up. This happened on several occasions. I didn't mind the NP, I just assumed at some point I would meet Dr. Wright. Well the first trimester goes by and I still had yet to meet the doctor that is going to deliver my baby. When I would ask the nurse why I haven't met with Dr. Wright during any if my visits her response was that she is busy with other patients. I couldn't believe that after 16weeks pregnant I still had not met my dr, at this point I decided that I was not comfortable staying with a dr, who couldnt take 15 min out of her day to meet a new patient. I switched to Dr. Debbie Urioste half way through and it was the best decision I could have made. I think if a dr is that busy she should not have taken new pati

Dr. Wright is a professional who knows her stuff but let me warn you she is cold and you WILL feel rushed, If you have an appointment to see her, be prepared to wait forever because she delivers babies and gets behind an hour or two quite often. The Dr. never congratulated me or offer a kind word or smile...but I did not choose her for her personality or her social skills- she has almost 20 years of experience... While I would not ask her to join me for coffee, I would consider her again. Now, her Nurse Practitioner, Pam Quinn is literally Salt to the Earth! If you are high risk and need someone who is compassionate and understanding and comforting--you need to request Pam. The secretaries are Snotty and rude and practically kick you out the door. If you have any questions, they act like you are asking them for a personal favor and forget is their JOB to help you. But I Love Pam and will deal with it to see her. I have recommended this place!

If it had not been for Dr. Wright, I would not have the two beautiful children I do. I had fertility issues and issues during the pregnancies. She figured out the problem and handled everything with compasion and her expertise! I would not go anywhere else. SHe has earned a placed in our hearts.

Dr. Wright has been my doctor for more than 6 years now. I've had 2 babies, a C-section, a tubal ligation, and much more by her. As far as the staff I've always found them professional and courteous. My only problem was a PA that was extremely rude but she wasn't there for long. I've also seen other doctors within the practice and liked them as well. But Dr. Wright is the woman! I drive down from Colorado Springs just for her services!

I attended this practice for many years. The front desk reception staff was very snotty and rude every time I went in. I NEVER met with my OB/GYN. The doctor was apparently too busy and pushed me off to the nurse. When I needed something and called in I was treated as if I was a nuisance and if I didn't get past the receptionist, she usually told me very rudely that they couldn't help me. I will not recommend this place to anyone. I have had medical issues that were caused by the neglect of these people as well. I have since changed doctor's and couldn't be happier with the treatment that my new doctor has provided in comparison to Women's Health Center.

IT IS THE BEST IN TOWN! VERY CLEAN AND PROFESSIONAL! VERY KIND AND COURTOUS! GREAT ATMOSPHERER!
