Founded in 1973, Bethany Baptist Church has seven core ministry beliefs of Bible inerrancy, expository preaching, plurality in leadership, believer s baptism, women in ministry, church growth movement and church discipline. Located in Pittsburgh, Pa., it was organized as an outreach of the Mideast Baptist Conference and Baptist General Conference. The church, with an interracial congregation, has a multipurpose building with an attached worship center and classroom facilities. It offers nursery care during Sunday school for children and adults and during worship service. Some of its ministries include a women s Bible study and a monthly men s Prayer Breakfast. Bethany Baptist Church focuses on the area of financial support and missions.
