Dental Examination
This initial visit will be a comprehensive examination with the necessary diagnostic x-rays, as well as information provided by your dentist, so that your situation can be thoroughly evaluated and the ideal treatment plan can be determined. If your dentist has taken x-rays recently, please request that they be forwarded to our office.
X-rays
Our office in Pasadena features the latest innovative technology, including digital radiography. To support a higher level of patient care, we use in-office 3D Cone Beam imaging for diagnosis and treatment. The 3D scans provide a detailed look at teeth, bone, nerves and tissue with three-dimensional and cross-sectional views that allow the doctors to see all of the aspects of the anatomy that cannot be adequately viewed with conventional dental x-rays.
Oral Cancer Screening
Pasadena oral surgery patients of Lytle, Tate & Stamper can rest assured that oral cancer screening and biopsy of any conspicuous tissue is a routine part of our everyday practice. Even if you’re found to have oral cancer, the bones and soft tissues typically damaged by it can be surgically reconstructed and repaired. Infections in your mouth, jaw, and neck can be treated with relative ease, though the sooner they are detected, the better.

Crowns
At this point, based on the recommendation of your surgeon, a crown may be placed immediately following the surgical procedure. If this is not possible, impressions may be taken instead, with your crown being placed a few days later. Alternatively, a removable retainer with an attached tooth may be recommended in the interim of a more permanent solution.

Lytle, Tate and Stamper is an established oral surgery practice that offers a variety of effective, high-quality procedures, including the All-on-4® treatment concept. Pasadena patients choose our practice or are referred by their general dentist because of our advanced training in surgical processes and the excellent care we provide.
Jaw Surgery
After dental school, Dr. Chan completed an internship in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern/Parkland Memorial Hospital before returning to Los Angeles for a six-year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency training at USC. This included attending the Keck School of Medicine of USC and graduating with a medical degree. Dr. Chan has experience in dental implants, dentoalveolar extractions, general anesthesia, orthognathic/corrective jaw surgery, maxillofacial trauma, oral pathology, and craniofacial/cleft surgery. He also received a scholarship from the Osteo Science Foundation for training in dental implant procedures including soft and hard tissue regeneration, sinus augmentation, implant-supported dentures, and platelet-rich plasma. During his residency, he was actively involved in clinical research and first authored several publications in peer-reviewed journals.
Maxillofacial Surgery
Committed to the profession, Dr. Stamper has spent much of his career serving in leadership positions, as Past President of both the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the California Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He maintains active membership in both of these associations, as well as several other professional organizations. A former Board Examiner for the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Dr. Stamper also contributed his time and expertise to advancing the specialty of through board certification.

Bone Grafting
