Q: What is the difference between your company and a “DJ”? A: Wynkoop Entertainment is an entertainment company. We come to your event with a DJ/Lighting technician, and an Emcee. We entertain you and your guest with music, guest interaction, and personalization.

By doing this, we can get to know you and your desires on a more personal level. Our goal is quite simple in nature, yet complex in execution: For your event to be unforgettable, exciting, and everything you are wanting it to be. That level is ONLY attained through communication, planning, experience, and professionalism. This is where we come in. Consider this: Anyone can press play allowing you to hear music (which is what a lot of “mobile DJ’s” do). We’ve all been to that wedding/party many times in the past...the fun and excitement just isn’t there. Only a talented team of entertainers/directors have the ability to influence how much fun you and your guest have, how long they will stay, and how they remember YOUR event when comparing it to others they have been to in the past. The most important thing to consider when hiring your event’s entertainment is INDIVIDUALITY. If every person in the world had the same personality and the same desires as everyone else, then every wedding reception, party, etc. would be identical and our job would be simple! The reality is, every event we do will be different than any we’ve done in the past. We customize and personalize everything about our presentation to reflect the personalities and desires of our clients. Wynkoop Entertainment does not send a “mobile DJ” to your event, we send an Entertainment Team that consist of a DJ, Master of Ceremonies, and a lighting technician. We also direct the entire flow of the event to ensure caterers, photographers, and guest are all on the same page. Most importantly, we use the same personnel for every event - we do not subcontract to the lowest bidder. You are hiring a team of professional entertainers and event directors when you hire Wynkoop Entertainment, and you can feel confident knowing that the team you hire will be the team that is present the day of your event. We will entertain and direct the event from start to finish working with the rest of the staff (caterer, photographer, videographer, etc.) you have hired to ensure everything is timely and perfect. While I feel our best asset is our ability to personalize and direct events from start to finish, I do get questions about my equipment. As far as equipment is concerned, I use brand new, state-of-the-art audio and lighting equipment. I continuously upgrade my equipment and take great pride in having the best of what’s available on the market. Most mobile DJ’s have old “sound activated” lighting, Wynkoop Entertainment uses computer controlled LED lighting to transform any room into a look and feel that will make you smile!
