Horrible!

I had to go to the BBB and file complaints because they created more damage to my computer to inflate the cost of repair

Beware of their business practices

Horrible place to go to! I had a broken screen and connected a separate monitor so that I could use the computer until I could get it fixed. I had a recommendation from a friend to go here. PCW told me I would have to come back after they inspected the computer to see if it was the screen or the light for the screen to put a deposit down. (I could still see all the images on the computer, so I knew it was a bulb.) I thought it was a little ridicules to have to come to the store three times to have one repair, but whatever. Two days later I had someone call me and left a laundry list of items. I went down in person so that I could leave my deposit so they could start working on the computer and because they stated they could not accept payment over the phone. When they brought my laptop out it had new scratches on the cover, but I did not mention that. (Accidents happen) They told me my monitor was not working and I asked them to turn it on. For the first time ever, no images were on the screen. (OK, so new screen it is ($200.00 to fix))I then asked them to hook it up to a monitor and a error message was now on the screen. They proceeded to tell me that I now had a problem with my hard drive and they needed an additional $50.00 plus $25 for any files I wanted to back up. They told me this was because of the fall. When I told them I had been using it for over 3 weeks without a problem with an outside monitor, their response was that sometimes it takes time to break. At that point I knew I was being ripped off and the people who work here are the same types of people who put virus on our computers to make money. Very dishonest people who are much more on the scam artist side that the resolution to any problem. Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this place!! They will take advantage of you!!

I called about replacing a DC jack on the motherboard on a Friday morning, and spoke to someone who sounded clueless. I needed to have a DC jack on a motherboard de-soldered and replaced with a new dc jack which I would provide. He stated that the price would be $150, but I told him I have the laptop disassembled and the motherboard is bare bone which should cost a lot cheaper. He then replied with "what's that?", I got a quote for $30 for a computer shop down the road for them.

i would give these people a double high 5 if allowable... in this day & with the pull backs of customer service & inventory at radio schlock, circus city, and the disappearance of Confusa it is more than refreshing to see a business like this still exists. if the counter wasn't busy when i walk in and i need to wait, then that lets me know that a lot of people know things do get done here. how computer savvy i am is debatable, but i do call myself the king of crash and burn. using a computer is easy, i just like making it difficult for myself...nice to know that they have what most other places don't... service and answers....this was not a paid political announcement.....krashnburn...

Frustrated, Ignored, disorganized

On Monday night of last week I walked into this place and stood behind a woman who was complaining about her refilled ink cartdges not working, while I was trying to get my computer dropped off I had to put up with several remarks directed at me from her as their employees looked on with confusion and shock. Last time I saw this was in line at the Milford Motovehicle department. My upset is the fact that they let this person complain for so long while paying customers were forced to be spectators. I did not appreciate they way it was handled the entire experience was so uncomfortable that I ended up never coming back to pick up my computer, aside from that It was a tell tale fortune of a repair quote and I do not trust the diagnosis was even done right.Peter
