Oki Japanese Steak House

I've been there three times in total and the food is OK but the overall dining experience is terrible. The place is dark and dirty. the stairs leading up the entrance haven't been cleaned for some time. There was no one to greet us when we entered, good thing I knew where the habachi was located. The chef couldn't perform.....he tried skewing a lemon three time without luck and finally just decided he couldn't do it. I'm sure the ones that landed on the floor will be used on the next customers dish. We ordered two filets ($60, the most expensive thing on the menu) and when I told him we didn't want the shrimp he refused to subsistute it for a little chicken (the cheapest thing on the menu). I won't be returning. I'll travel a little further down and check out another place downtown Providence. I cannot recommend this place to anyone.

Oki Steak House is what Japanese Hibachi food should be. The meals are wonderful and the decor is wonderful. Sitting in the lounge and ordering the sushi is accented by the lovely view of the city beyond and Providence's skyline in the distance.
