Crushed Fine Wine

I had a wonderful experience and have found my wine spot for Charleston. The gentleman was very knowledgeable in wines and had some great wines that I had never heard of. I took his recommendation for a great bottle of red wine and loved it. Good pricing considering the variety of wines...you won't find any of this wine in grocery stores!

I went to Crushed for the first time on a recommendation from a friend. Desmond, the owner, immediately gave a warm welcome. I really enjoyed how the store is set up. Instead of the wines being listed by varietal they are listed by body. I was excited to see that there were wines that I could not get anywhere else. I love trying new things. Desmond asked me a few questions on what I liked in a wine. He promptly walked over and retrieved a bottle for me. It ended up being a varietal that I had not previously tried. Desmond is daring people to step outside of the box and try new things. I also, really enjoyed my wine. If you have not yet been to Crushed it is a must! Crushed is also conveniently located in the BiLo shopping center, so instead of getting your wine there you can pop over and visit Desmond!

For such a small shop Crushed Fine Wine has a widely diverse and well selectect inventory. A great range of wines from small domestic producers to excellent selection from some of the best european importers.

There is also an area in the shop which houses some 195 bottles in a temperature contrlled wine cellar. This is the collectors dream spot. How some of these hard to wines were found I do not know but it is worth checking out
