Cvetko Ivanov, the artist and owner of the studio, is a self-taught fine artist; painting has been a hobby of his since a very early age. About ten years ago he took his hobby to the walls and turned it into a successful business. His work can be seen in many elegant New Jersey homes. Ivan, Cvetko's short name, has studied decorative painting in New York under Robert Marx of The Finishing School. Their rigorous training, based on the state-of-the-art media system Faux Effects®, has not only helped Ivan to translate his artistic skills from the canvas to the much larger scale of the wall, but it had broadened his expertise to other versatile treatments for walls, ceilings, and architectural elements. Ivan's professional skills include: * Glazing - distressed patinas, subtle translucent blends of color, embedding, metallics, layered glazing, etc. * Venetian Gem - layers of polished colored plaster with distinctive depth and texture. * Fresco and O'Villa plasters * Faux Marbles - from decorative suggestions to realistic depiction of natural marble. * Trompe l'oeil - illusionistic cloud ceilings, stone block finishes, faux windows and moldings, etc. * Murals - specializing in seascapes and landscapes. * Hand-painted borders and flower motifs. * Wood graining * Antique finishes If you are a designer or any other professional seeking decorative painting services . . . For most of our work we use Faux Effects Products®; this is a state-of-the-art water-based media system which is low in VOC content and is environmentally friendly. We can render numerous popular finishes or can create unique solutions suitable to the style of the surrounding decoration.
