I had won a contest through Brazilian Blowout (BB) and they sent me to Rocki Hedari to do a Brazilian Blowout on me. I went in for the service on Thursday 5/31. When I left, my hair was shiny and smooth, but you could not run your fingers through it. It was sticky. But because it was free (BB reimbursed her) I was not going to say anything.

Then, Friday I washed my hair with a sulfate free shampoo like instructed and when my hair dried, it was a frizzy, dried out mess! I immediately called BB and they could not get in touch with anyone from Femme Chic and he worked it out for me to get product from another salon. I wore a hair mask 24 hours a day Friday through today. My hair is still a matted dried out frizzy ball of hair. I have been into numerous other salons and they all said it was extensive irriversible HEAT damage. They all said it would have to be cut super short. My hair was below my shoulders. When I spoke to Rocki on Saturday AM, she was very cold and unapologetic. She said she did nothing wrong and that it was the Brazilian Blowout product, not her. I told her that the other salons said it needs to be cut and she said "so what, you want me to cut it?" I told her there must a product to fix it. She just offered again to cut it.

I went in today to show her the damage to my hair. This was after wearing the mask for 4 full days. She was again very cold and said she did nothing wrong. She asked what I wanted and I told her I wanted product to fix it or a wig. She laughed and said "you told me when you first came in here that you have never even been to a salon before, all you are is a charity case I took. You are money hungry." I have never been to a salon before, but I know that this is not right to do to my hair. I am not a charity case. Before today I was depressed and crying non stop since Friday(.I realize it is JUST hair....but imagine that you won a free hair treatment, then the next day were told you need to chop off all your hair. I am not happy about having to chop off my hair and am going wig shopping today. ) After being called a "charity case" I am mad. I have worked with charities and non profits for over ten years. I have run 2 group homes for teen boys who were abused by their parents. I currently am on a board for a non profit for special needs children. I am not a charity case. I am a hard working single mother of 5 year old twins who both have special needs and go to a special needs school. I am also a student who just went back to school and had a 4.0 last semester. I am also a grandaughter who is the sole caregiver of my grandmother who has dementia and is bedridden. These are ALL volunteer positions. To say I am a charity case or money hungry is ridiculous. I want my hair fixed!

BB has been very helpful so far and they set up a consult and cut with another salon that I will go to on Friday.
