Tree Pruning and Trimming
Our goal is to make a tree pruning plan that promotes the tree’s health, as well as fits the expectations and budget of the customer.
Tree Maintenance
Our education and training is on-going. We maintain memberships with the ISA – International Society of Arboriculture, TCIA – Tree Care Industry Association and ASM – Arboriculture Society of Michigan. These organizations provide us with the latest scientific research, information on safe work practices, and the ANSI A300 tree care standards. They also host meetings, seminars, and trade shows which we attend for our continuing education.
Tree Cabling and Bracing
Over time trees can develop defects such as weak branch unions, splits, or cracks. These defects can usually be diagnosed early on, before they become a hazard. If a defect is found, we will propose a cabling & bracing system that bolsters the strength and structural integrity of the tree.
Arborist Services
When I first arrived on the scene, I was asked why such a big limb would break on a perfectly calm day? My answer is known to arborists as “sudden limb drop”. This usually occurs on hot summer days in periods of drought, just like the conditions we saw in June. The tree is losing large amounts of water through transpiration, which is like sweating for trees. Sudden limb drop occurs when a limb dries out quickly, becomes brittle, and then can no longer support itself.
Tree Mulching
Our standard grinding depth is 6″, which is deep enough for laying sod or planting grass seed. If you want to replant a tree, pour concrete, or build over the area, we recommend grinding deep enough to get the entire stump out. Once the grinding is complete, we can leave the grindings for you to spread as mulch/compost or we can haul them away for an additional fee.
