Overall

Bruce runs a small dedicated shop. He is one-if not the only-local shop of its kind. He not only repairs or produces things such as-in my case- replacement TwinDisc pilot hub bushing(s), but does so in a very timely manner, and at a very fair price. In my most recent experience, Bruce made a bushing that not only restored the Pilot bearing fit in the flywheel, but in doing so he created a higher quality product than the original (by using a somewhat harder alloy than the ductile iron F/W), the turnaround was 2 days, the price was about One Quarter of the cost of a replacement F/W that ultimately would be no better than the original, and that was the only other real option.

This Man does Quality work and at very reasonable rates considering typical hourly rates for Mechanical/Machine shops are running in the 80-100 dollar/Hr. rate.

The only reason I didn't do the job myself (I'm an above average Machinist with access a decent array of tools and tooling) was because I didn't have immediate access to a Lathe with adequate (20"+) Swing needed to machine the F/W in order to accept the "New" bushing. While explaining what I had in mind, and discussing my own Knowledge/Skills, Bruce never once gave any indication of superiority impatience or disdain.

This fine Man works to a standard that has largely disappeared in our "Throw away" society. He'll take on almost any job-large or small, and treat the customer with Honesty and Respect. I VERY RARELY write reviews, and then only when someone stands out as either a 5 Star Expert, or an underhanded scam artist. Bruce is 5 Star all the way, and I'd like to mention that I've sent several others to him for repairs, and they have always reported excellent results. I can't say enough well, so I'll simply say, "Thank You Bruce" Regards, Mike

PS, I don't know the details of "Peter E's" experience, but I don't question it anymore than anyone should question mine. I have no "dog in the fight" here, so to speak. I'm sorry for his experience, but in the end most reviews are usually either at one end of the spectrum or the other. That said, at least now a prospective customer has a little more to go on, and perhaps what to expect.

NYC Paramedic

Horrible customer's service skills. Impolite and rude owner. Servise is overpriced. After I was asking to reduce price for the work, I was told "get hell out of here". Strongly not recomended to do any business with him.
