Zum Gasthaus Restaurant

Apparently this place has been opened for over 25 years, but I never knew it. It's a bit of a mystery because of its low key location. It's across the shut down Lake Theater in downtown. The food is more authentically German than I've ever had in Texas. Even the nearby competition cannot compare. The owner is a sweet old woman and she's funny. Definitely recommend for those who like to get their money's worth (the portions are huge). For true German food, come here. I haven't had a schnitzel this good since I lived in Berlin.
