        I was so tired from driving that I stayed at the first place I saw, and that happened to be this one. We arrived around midnight and checked in. I asked if we could check out an hour later since we arrived so late, and was told that we could do that even though "the maid won't like it." The motel certainly has no bells & whistles, but it seemed okay. I did find two dead bugs in the corner. We were preparing to check out in the morning when the phone rang. I picked it up and there were just beeps. It happened again about 10 minutes later. We ended up heading to the office about half an hour past checkout, which was half an hour early since we were told we could stay over an hour. Apparently the person we spoke with the night prior didn't pass the message along and the morning clerk was quite irritated with us, telling us that the phone calls were them calling wondering why we hadn't checked out yet. I would pass on this motel; there are many others - mostly name brand - pretty much right next door.

        Clean, Clean, Clean ! As a Upscale Hotel Executive (retired) for a large chain 5 Stars for Clean.

        As an Hotel Executive (retired) for the Largest Upscale Hotel Chain, this motel gets5 Stars for Clean. Perfect Location if you are visiting Disney Magic Kingdom, it's very close by. Also convenient to all other Disney Parks & Universal. Rooms are spacious and well maintained. Very reasonable and a great value for the money. It is hard to find an American Owned and Operated Independent Hotel like the Golden Link these day.The Golden Link Motel is a real Gem !

        Me and my husband stay in the Golden Link all the time we visited Orlando;;;is the best place where we can stay;;;rooms always are clean;;nice people;;swimmming pool always great and neat;;we recommend this place to everybody who is looking a nice place to stay in vacations;;;;;

        A great family holiday experience

        We have stayed at the Golden Link 6 times now since 1994, basically every time we go to Forida. Found the motel simply by chance and would not consider staying anywhere else. The staff are great (especially shelia from wales) and the services and utilities are second to none. It is so good to return to a place where the staff remember you and go out of there way to make our stay enjoyable. The pool is heated and lit and is so enjoyable after a day at the parks and something to really look forward too. Highway 192 next to the motel has undergone an immense change since we first started visiting here and now has pedestrian walkways and crossing points to loads of resturants and shops. Have just booked flights and car hire again for easter 2010 and of course a room at the Golden Link. It will be good to meet the staff again and nice to to know that a warm welcome awaits us. All i can say is forget booking a hotel package to Orlando, all you need is a flight, car hire and directio

        THIS MOTEL WAS CLEAN, AND THATS GOOD. THE PEOPLE WHO OWNED THE MOTEL WERE NICE. THE MAID SERVICE WAS WONDERFUL. THE MOTEL IS IN A GOOD LOCATION FROM ALL THE DISNEY PARKS. AND THE POOL IS NICE. THE ROOM HAS A MICROWAVE, AND MINI FRIDGE, AND FREE WI FI. IF YOU LIKE TO FISH THERE IS A LAKE. THIS IS A GOOD PLACE TO STAY. ITS SAFE SIMLPE AND NICE!!!

        LOVE THIS PLACE

        My Family has been going to this motel for over 5 years. They treat us like family every time we visit and are friendly with most of the staff and owners.

        I totally disagree with the first review written the owners are more than happy to come solve any problem at any time as are other staff. This is not a hotel that rents rooms by the hour and they turn away patrons who seem to want rooms for that purpose. THIS IS A FAMILY ORIENTED MOTEL!!

        Owned and operated for many years by the same family.

        They have a heated pool out front, cable tv, free wireless internet, there is a bar-b-que pit out back and is located on a lake (so bring your fishing gear).

        This motel is centrally located to any place you want to go like Disney World or Sea World.

        There are 2 walmarts within 10 minute drive.

        A large grocery store located across the street.

        Many delicious restaurants just down the street within walking distance or very short drive.

        10 min drive from Old Town.

        It's not a fancy place but it has low rates and a friendly atmosphere. And I wouldn't go elsewhere.
