Applebee's

Where to begin with my experience at AppleBee's? It was February 27th. A friend of mine and I went to the movies and after we decided to have some appetizers and drinks afterwards. We know AppleBee's has the $4.25 Margaritas. That is what they advertise... They have the little place mats on each table with their drink specials. All it says is "$4.25 margaritas!" no asterix or anything stating that there is an additional charge for flavoring. The server came over to us and said he was prompted to charge us for each flavoring. I told him that isn't right, I have never been charged for flavoring. I've been there at least three times in the past two months and was never charged. Even before that, I was never charged. I flagged down the manager, Jill, and told her that. She said "oh well! You should have been charged I don't know why you weren't but I'll make sure all my servers and bartenders are charging for flavors. okay? Okay." and she went in and charged my friend and me for our flavoring. She was less than pleasant and did absolutely nothing to make my friend, her niece, and myself feel welcome or that there was going to be a solution for the issue. Then there were some women sitting in the booth behind my friend that kept bumping us... As they left, they put a dollar bill down on the table and said "here's for your flavor shots" and my friend got up, handed them the dollar back and said no we are not a charity case! the girls said "well tonight you are!" Which continued into a bigger blow up. Jill intervened and told my friend to sit down. Our server stood up for us and said

"you didn't see how they came at her and put cash down on their table..." and Jill told him, "no those other girls were leaving, they were leaving... They( my friend, her niece, and myself) don't matter." Um what? I will NOT go back. Our server was fantastic, but it is POOR management. Extremely poor management!!

Visited the Applebee's at the Legends this evening. This was our second visit. The food was somewhat bland tasting and barely warm. This is the second time the food has been cold or barely warm. Will not be giving this Applebee's another visit. There are too many quality food choices in the area to choose from. Gave it one star because the waiter didn't cook the food and his service was adequate.

Decent place, food not quite up to other grills in the area.
