Bridges are a fixed or non-removable prosthesis constructed to replace one or more missing teeth. The teeth on either side of the existing space anchor the bridge. We are now able to construct beautiful full porcelain bridges and porcelain over metal bridges to produce beautiful aesthetic results.

Dentures
A partial denture is a removable dental appliance that replaces multiple missing teeth. It can be attached to the teeth with clasps or it can be attached to the teeth with precision attachments (hidden clasps). Both types have a metal framework, normally plastic teeth, and pink acrylic in the gum areas. A removable partial denture made of flexible acrylic material can also be used for patients with metal allergies or those with high smile lines.

Dental Implants
Dental implants are an excellent dental option for patients who are missing a single tooth and do not wish to have a conventional bridge or have multiple missing teeth and do not wish to have a removable appliance. They can also be used to hold ill-fitting dentures in place. Made of a titanium alloy that is both strong and biocompatible, dental implants are artificial tooth roots placed directly into the jaw bone and soft tissue. After the dental implant is placed by an oral surgeon and both the bone and gums grow around it, the dental implant is uncovered, and an implant abutment and crown is placed by us.

Tooth Extractions
Tooth extraction is the removal of a tooth from its socket in the bone. Extraction may be used to remove teeth that are so badly decayed or broken that they cannot be restored. Teeth may also be extracted to make more room in the mouth prior to straightening the remaining teeth (orthodontic treatment), or because they have severe periodontal disease.

Teeth Whitening
Austrins Family Dentistry offer custom take-home whitening trays, so you can whiten your teeth to your desired outcome. These are clear plastic trays that are custom made to fit the patient’s teeth, which hold a professional strength whitening gel. We will take an impression of your teeth and make the custom trays to exactly fit your teeth. This customization allows for maximum contact between the whitening gel and the teeth. A custom-made tray also minimizes the gel’s contact with gum tissue.
