I cannot say that I’m surprised to see several negative reviews for this salon, but relieved that I’m not just imagining such horrible service.



Like many of the other complaints, I also purchased a Groupon last year for laser tattoo removal. Having two tattoos that I need removed, this seemed like an ideal opportunity to experience a trial run on one tattoo while considering them for future services. While I did spend a great deal of money on the Groupon (purchasing the most expensive package), I am so glad now that I am not tied to them for any future services.



My first appointment started off quite well: the office staff seemed overtly friendly and I was seen right away without a wait. Holly - a very chatty and vivacious lady who claimed to be the owner - performed my tattoo removal procedure. It was brutally painful, but over quickly and I was overall satisfied.



Problems began with the second appointment. Holly was a little less vivacious and suddenly the package of six tattoo removals that I’d purchased was now only valid for three due to the “size of my tattoo”(which is about 4”). This was never discussed in the first appointment. After much confusion and debate, Holly reluctantly acknowledged that I did indeed have four more procedures remaining. She may have well have added “Good luck getting an appointment.”



On two separate occasions I have shown up for appointments to find no one available to perform the removal (for various excuses – sick child, scheduling error, etc.) Understandably, these things happen and so I didn’t mind being rescheduled. The issue is actually getting someone to return a phone call so that you can schedule an appointment! Quite literally, I called daily for two weeks. No one ever answered the phone and no one ever responded to voicemail requesting an appointment. I even tried sending emails through the Intrigue website with no response. When I was finally able to get through to someone (ironically, Holly) I was extremely disappointed with the complete lack of concern and even more shocked by her reproachful attitude. The second I expressed any frustration over scheduling and unreturned phone calls, she interrupted and continued to talk over me in a very condescending tone. Rather than trying to rectify the situation, I was accused of missing appointments - quite the opposite. It literally felt as though I was in verbal tug-of-war with a teenage girl!



As someone that has worked in the customer service industry for over 15 years, I simply cannot believe that a business owner (if she truly is) would verbally attack a client. How does this place stay in business??? No one ever answers the phone, no one returns voice mails, you may or may not have someone available on the day of a scheduled appointment to perform a procedure, and rescheduling is an absolute circus.



Word of mouth is the biggest promotional tool – not Groupon. Frankly, Intrigue, you have really missed the mark here.

This is a bad place to do business. Had an appt. at the Galleria location. Arrived and doors were locked. Waited to see if anyone would show up...no one did. Took 2 days of calling and getting an answering machine or busy signals, before I was able to talk to a human being that told me my name was not in the books. Set up another appt. Been trying to reach them for 2 days now. All I get is an answering machine or a busy signal. Have left several messages...no one returns my calls. This is the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever encountered. They do an okay job removing tattoos if you can get in when you are scheduled.

I love this place! Got my tattoo removal and starting my back hair with hair removal. Nice facility and friendly staff.

I loved this place! I decided to get laser hair removal because summer was coming up and there was a groupon for a place in Clear Lake which was awesome because most of the other places I see on Google and stuff are on the other side of town and I didn't want to go too far. Sooo I called and scheduled my consultation and after talking to the girl there, I was really excited. The girl who does the treatments Holly is so nice and she really knows what she's doing! I got my bikini done and I was kinda worried about it being awkward but it totally wasn't all the girls in the office are really nice and helpful. So, after I got my bikini done I decided to go on to the underarms and I go in for my next treatment next week!! Oh and since I'm a "broke college kid" I didn't have the $$ to pay it all at once but they do payment plans as well soooo that makes it alot easier. I would def reccommend this place.
