Houston First Movers

Last month I employed Houston first movers for my parents move as they decided to relocate at our home town to spend rest of their lives at our old house. Though it was hard for me to let my parents leave my house at this age, but I thought of respecting their emotion. I was looking for a reliable mover so that my old parents may not stressed much and who could be a better option than Houston first movers! They were very respectful and compassionate to my parents and were responsive and efficient during the whole move. At the other end they asked my parents to relax and they themselves clean the house and placed everything in required rooms. I and my parents are very pleased with them.

I hired Houston First movers to unload my container on Saturday, August 1st 2015. The crea was scheduled to show up at 9-10am but came at 6 pm instead. They also broke my entrance light while moving furniture which my son alerted me after they left. Also the owner Ricky stole mt hand truck. I saw them drive away with it and alerted them right away to return it. I was promised he would return it for the the last 3 days but he decided to steal it. I will file a police report against them tomorrow ! Do not hire this company!

I have read some reviews where people complained about moving companies using too much packing materials adding extra money to the final bill. Some people even said that although most movers are efficient, their packing skills are not up to the mark. So, when I was moving, I decided to take some matters into my own hands. I packed most of my stuffs and labeled them before the movers from Houston first movers arrived. They arrived right on time and some of my stuffs were still unpacked. They helped me pack those up and frankly, I didn’t think they were as bad as the reviews claim them to be. In fact, they were way faster than me and more creative too. There isn’t much to do after being done with the packing. So they finished loading in just 1.5 hours. I had to pay them for the two hours minimum, which made me regret my theory of “pack yourself” a little. Anyways, we have safely moved to my new Apt and all my belongings traveled safely too.

I have a lot of stuffs and so I was quite stressed out when I had to relocate from a 3 bed room apt to another 4 bed apt. One of my friends suggested that I hire Houston first movers. I did some research on them and they seemed to have a good reputation. When I called them, the man on the line was very friendly and gave me a very reasonable quote. Their movers arrived right on the scheduled time on the moving day. They got to work immediately. They packed all my stuffs creatively and were very careful not to break anything. I do have a lot of stuffs so it took them quite a while to finish packing and loading everything. The good thing was that I didn’t have to do anything. All three vans arrived together and all my things were delivered in good condition. It was such an easy move, thanks to these guys.

We are no newbies to relocation and our experiences with moving companies have always been less than great. They have always promised us easy and efficient moves but their men are never well prepared or skillful. For our last move we hired Houston first movers and frankly, we weren’t expecting them to be any different from the rest. Surprisingly, they were nothing like the others. Their quote was as expensive as others but they really excelled with the skills displayed by their movers. All 4 men were very experienced and organized. Usually, moving companies hire independent movers who have no coordination among them. But these guys were very team players. They worked tirelessly and efficiently around my house. All my things were packed and loaded with great precision. I was very impressed with these guys and will definitely hire them again.

My son and his girlfriend moved yesterday. The crew from this company was amazing. Arrived on time, loaded up everything, helped box and wrap many items with both efficiency and care, then went to second location to pick-up more items, then carted all two flights of stairs. Nothing was damaged and they were super fast, polite, neat and wonderful. I would HIGHLY recommend Houston first movers.

To echo the other 1 star review, all these 5 star reviews are falsified.



Houston First Movers is an absolute terrible moving company. They were not on time to my destination for relatively short move. In fact, they were two days late.



Horrible communication. I called over a dozen times just to get Ricky to give me an update on their status. Turned out that they had not even left Houston when they should've been at the destination...all along without communicating with me.



Save yourself the trouble and do not use Houston first movers.

Houston First Movers is hands down the most unprofessional business I have ever seen. I had arranged for my stuff to be moved from Houston to another city 8 hours away and everything was supposed to arrive on Saturday at noon. However, the movers did not show up at the scheduled time and nobody would answer our calls or respond to our texts. So after 10 hours of waiting we finally got a hold of the owner who said that they hadn't even left Houston yet and weren't sure when they'd be able to. So at 10:00 PM I found out that I didn't even have a mattress to sleep on and had to arrange for a room at a nearby hotel. The movers didn't end up showing up until Monday afternoon and they were very rude and unprofessional.



So not only did I end up having to pay for the move, I also had to pay for 2 nights at a hotel and I missed a day of work. And there was absolutely zero communication on their end.



PLEASE do not hire these guys, there are plenty of more professional companies in Houston that will actually follow through on getting you your stuff on time. If it was possible for me to give them 0.0 stars on here I would.

This is company is far ahead than any other ordinary movers. Just used Houston first movers for an office move where they had to deal with all kind of possible odds and still managed to deliver a safe and sound move. My project manager is the guy who knew how to get this job done; he took every necessary step and kept the situation always under control. I am very glad with their great performance and I am surely going to recommend Houston first movers for all kind of commercial moves.

Their sales rep Ricky submitted the quote within just few minutes after I called Houston first movers. The quote was undoubtedly the best among all the other quotes which I received from other movers. I confirmed him about hiring them. At the day of the move he sent the van and the movers within the scheduled time. Movers did not require any guidance from me. They knew their job; they had the necessary tools with them and the skills to take on the task. They were in complete control and effortlessly executing the move. At the end I got a stress free and a very quick move.

I was thinking about hiring professional movers but wasn't able to make up my mind. Many people talk about their bitter experiences with professional movers. However there are times when you have to hire professional movers as you cannot move all of your belongings on your own. So I decided to review the client’s comments and found out that Houston first movers has a good reputation. Therefore, I called them and after hearing their quote I decided to hire them. They did the actual moving job very well. They were on time, meticulous with packing and moving and finally delivered the stuff on time. Overall, I would say this is a great company doing a world class job.

Professional, courteous, and hard working! Moving is a nightmare but Houston first movers made it bearable – Mike and the team packed up our whole home and moved us in just a few hours. They dealt with city parking. Great service, I highly recommend them for your next move.

I was really very worried because moving with so many valuable and 2 kids was never going to be easy. I knew I had to find a good mover in no time. I was lucky enough to use Houston first movers for this move. They have delivered a perfect move for us. Their team showed up on time, with necessary tools and packing materials and the movers did perform like real pros. They showed great presence of mind during the packing and managed the loading and unloading effortlessly. We have received all our belongings in great condition at the other end and they price remained within the estimate.

Best moving company EVER! I talked to Ricky and arranged the move. Super organized! I got an email confirmation with date, price, and other details. The two guys who showed up right on time – Mike and Pablo, were efficient, competent, careful and nice. The move came in well below estimate. I've moved many times in my life, and this is the first time the entire moving experience was positive. More than ok! These guys are terrific! I'm impressed and happy and will recommend Houston first movers to everyone I know.

This was my first time moving more than 50 miles in my life. Houston first movers did a solid job handling my concerns. The office staff seemed on the ball and organized. My sales rep Sara was a pleasure throughout the whole move, at both ends. My move wasn`t a big one, but they made me feel like a VIP. Very happy that I went with Houston first movers.

Though moving is a very painful job but we did not actually felt the heat of the move because of the movers. They were so professionals that we did not even bother to monitor during the proceedings. They showed up on time, wrapped, loaded and moved everything at the designated place, unboxed and stored everything. During the whole process we did not find any mistake by these fine movers. They completed the job within the quoted time, charged within the quoted amount and kept their commitments. It was really a great experience using Houston first movers.

I feel high deg fever when I have to face the moving session. This time I took the decision that whatever happens I will put all the responsibilities on the company’s shoulder we are going to hire. My friend came up with a name and that was Houston first movers. I talked to their manager about all my requirements and he gave me a smiling nod and that moment I knew I am going to hire the right people. And the later went all good and without any kind of hassle. This company is going really well with their work.

I needed to move urgently but didn't know whom to hire. A friend told me to hire Houston first movers. It was very kind of them to book me on such short notice. They gave me a reasonable quote. They did a very good job. They did everything for me starting with wrapping to plugging the chords in my pc. They did a superbly. Thank you guys.
