G.R. Birdwell Construction and its affiliate, Remedial Construction Services, have completed more than 3,100 construction, geotechnical, mechanical, remediation, hazardous waste management and environmental projects. It provides services for numerous industrial, commercial and government clients. Birdwell is a full-service industrial and general contractor. The company spent its early years constructing industrial and municipal wastewater treatment plants. By 1985, ninety percent of the company s work was for the petrochemical industry in the Gulf Coast. To meet existing clients needs generated by increasing environmental regulations, Birdwell founded Remedial Construction Services in 1989. While the two companies are completely separate entities, they share common resources. Gene R. Birdwell founded G.R. Birdwell Construction in 1977.
