Henrietta's Steakhouse Station

Stopped in from out of town. Seemed nice enough establishment. Clean. Ordered 2 appetizers and one was great and one not so great. Husband ordered ribeye and it was okay. I ordered porkchops and they were horrible. I did not like the bbq sauce...it was tough...and very dry. I took two bites and sent it back. Owners made a big deal about it. I said no big deal. I ate a portion of husbands steak. They insisted on recking it. I declined. Upon crashing out they tried to charge us full price of $12. After arguing over it they took off $5 &change. Claiming the iceberg dinner salad & one scoop of mashed potatoes were worth half the meal price. Whatever. Won't ever be going back to this place!

Drove in from out of town for Valentines night. We had reservations and were seated quickly. We were advised when making reservations that we could only choose from 2 dinner selections for that night. The food came out quickly, real quick. The baked potato had a good flavor and size, but was not hot enough to melt the butter or sour cream. The steak had a decent flavor but again I would have loved to had a hot one. It was warm at best. The steak was tender. But without the steak coming out hot it really took away from the flavor, tenderness and enjoyment of the steak. I told my wife the meal really had the feel of a "church valentine banquet" dinner where everything is pre-cooked or catered. The meal did not feel personal. It did not feel like the meal was prepared for us personally. Looking at everyone around me all eating the same thing made it feel like a church banquet even more just minus the paper plates and styrofoam cups. A cookie cut meal with a Michael Bolton CD playing in the background. I would have MUCH rather preferred ordering from a menu.

Food was mediocre at best and prices were very expensive!!! One Chicken fried chicken dinner, one steak dinner, one appetizer over $52.65 Also Checkout was confusing at best and not typical procedure of any other restuarant I have seen in 50 years on this planet. We intended and attempted to give an $8.00 tip for a total of $60.00 for this meal. Instead there was added a $60.00 tip to a $52.65 meal. for a total of $112.00 This is absoulutely ABSURD!!!! This company needs to re-evaluate it's pricing and make more clear their checkout & tipping procedures! Things like this will close a company down in a small town if word got out!
