Grosse Pointe South High School, established in 1928, provides academic programs in arts, business, mathematics and social studies. It also offers classes in health education, infant and child development and parenting. The school also has counseling and career service departments. Its languages course include Spanish, Latin and French classes. The school s library provides print and online magazines, encyclopedias and newspapers. Grosse Pointe South High School also provides special education, including physical science and civics. Its technology education offers classes in robotics, woodworking, Cisco networking, and engineering and architectural drawing. The school offers various sports activities, such as football, soccer, volleyball and wrestling. Its curriculum also includes programs in family and consumer science and television production.
