There are three distinct types of skin cancer. Their differences are both physical and cellular and are treated differently based on their depth, size, and age.
Dermatology
Also known as spider vein treatment, sclerotherapy at Cosmedic Dermatology is the treatment of spider veins which are stretched blood vessels with a pattern that resembles branches. These veins are typically found on the thighs and lower legs. Unfortunately, as time goes on they may continue to branch out and become more visible with age. However, with sclerotherapy patients are finally able to experience evenly toned spotless skin without covering up with clothes or makeup.
Acne Treatment
Treating acne is not a one-size fit all approach. The treatment of acne can be a bit of a trial and error approach at times because all skin types respond differently to acne treatment. However, even with adequate treatment, acne will tend to flare up from time to time and can then cause permanent scarring or pitting. Acne and acne scars can be treated with peels, microdermabrasion, lasers or sometimes a combination of treatments and topical products.

Atopic dermatitis (Eczema) is a general term for an inflammatory skin disorder. This can be caused by some sort of allergic reaction or contact with an irritant. This condition can appear as young as infancy because it is a result of the skin becoming irritated due to something a person comes into contact with. The first step would be to begin to identify the source of irritation and avoid any contact with it if possible. Once the source of irritation is found, topical treatments such as physician prescribed cortisone creams or antihistamines. Persisting reactions can also be treated with ultraviolet B and A light therapy (phototherapy).
Lesions
A squamous cell carcinoma is a malignant tumor that affects the middle layer of the skin. This malignant tumor is more aggressive than basal cell cancer because of its potential to spread. Symptoms include skin lesions that are firm, reddened and possibly cone shaped. Like other forms, treatment varies depending on the size, depth, and location of the tumor, as well as how much it has spread. Most squamous cell tumors may be cured if promptly removed. New tumors may develop; therefore, patients should have regular examinations by a dermatologist.
Chemical Peels
With the progression of the aging process, our cell turnover and healing process of our skin will begin to slow down. In addition to aging, acne and sun damage can leave behind pigmentation that would typically take an extended period of time to heal on its own. Chemical peels can help this process move along quicker and encourage cell turnover to happen at a faster pace. Patients can experience more radiant skin with more even tone after chemical peel treatments.
