Macular Degeneration
He's a very skilled doctor. We went to him because my mother suffers from macular degeneration. We were not satisfied with our previous retinal specialist and so we ended up at Dr. Tsong's office. We have been extremely satisfied with his care. He has helped my mother gain her sight back, and for that we are extremely grateful!
Laser Eye Surgery
LASIK and PRK are the most well-known types of laser vision correction. They are safe laser procedures which have helped millions of people see better without glasses or contact lenses. Cataracts
A cataract is a clouding of the natural lens inside the eye. The most common symptoms are blurry vision, glare from headlights during night driving, and difficulty with reading. Everybody who lives long enough develops cataracts. Certain factors may accelerate cataract formation such as trauma, smoking, excessive sunlight exposure, and diabetes.
Cataract Surgery
At Greenwich Ophthalmology Associates, our cataract surgeons are experts in small-incision, "no stitch" cataract surgery and laser assisted cataract surgery. Dr. Suresh Mandava and Dr. Lindsay Davis are some of the most experienced cataract surgeons in the region. They approach every surgery in an individualized manner and will help each patient understand which intraocular lens options will offer the best visual results.
Eye Exam
My visit was extremely pleasurable. The technician did an amazing job with my eye exam and was very personable. Dr. Tsong was incredibly approachable and skilled and really made me feel comfortable. Overall a great experience!

Dr. Jerry Tsong is a board certified ophthalmologist who is fellowship trained in medical retina. He graduated MIT in the top 5% of his class with a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering. He then graduated Harvard Medical School with an M.D. degree. Jerry completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital and residency at The George Washington University Medical Center, where he was named Chief Resident. He also completed a fellowship in medical retinal at the world-renowned Doheny Eye Institute in Los Angeles.

Diabetic Retinopathy
Over the past several years, Greenwich Ophthalmology Associates has emerged as a local leader in the treatment of AMD, diabetic retinopathy, and other retinal disorders. At our center, we have some of the most advanced technology including spectral domain optical coherence tomography (OCT) and Optos ultra-widefield imaging and SPECTRALIS fluorescein angiography. Our fellowship-trained medical retina specialist, Dr. Jerry Tsong, specializes in performing in-office laser procedures and Anti-VEGF injections (e.g. Avastin, Lucentis, and Eylea).

Ultrasound
Surgery is the only definitive treatment for cataracts. Most patients have significantly improved vision after the procedure. The most popular technique is called phacoemulsification, a process in which ultrasound safely breaks up the cataract. Once the cataract is removed, a replacement artificial lens (intraocular lens or IOL) is placed in the eye. IOL's are made of safe materials that last a lifetime without need for replacement.

Plastic Surgeons

Botox
Oculoplastics provides both cosmetic and functional treatment of disorders around the eyes, including the brows, eyelids and the bones in the surrounding area. Functional oculoplastic surgery involves the repair of areas causing visual impairment, such as congenital defects, tumors, abnormal eyelid positioning, and bones around the eyes. Cosmetic surgery enhances appearance and self-image by reconstructing features around the eyes, such as lid lifts, BOTOX®, and Restylane®.
Eyelid Surgery
Joseph practices general ophthalmology, treating conditions such as dry eye, ocular infections and excessive tearing, and specializes in Oculoplastics, which includes the surgical correction of eyelid disorders such as ptosis, eyelid cancer and eyelid malpositions. He also performs cosmetic eyelid surgery and other less invasive procedures, such as Botox, Dysport, Juvederm and Restylane.
Plastic Surgery
Dr. Joseph Conway is a graduate of both Yale University and The Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the New York University/Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital where he was named Executive Chief Resident. He completed his fellowship in Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery at Cornell/New York Hospital.
Blepharoplasty
This is one of the most common oculoplastic surgeries. It reduces excess skin and fat in the eyelids, which can sometimes hinder vision, while often creating a more youthful appearance.
