Not Only Bad But Abusive Customer Service

This little cell shop in Garwood focuses on prepaid cell phones. I stopped in because I wanted a line of service with Page Plus, one of the better providers that use Verizon towers, but with very few resellers. A man named Raj and his wife own the shop. I was looking for a rather high-end phone from which he had a few to choose. They were all older models from 2008 and 2009 that he represented as brand new, and for which he wanted to charge new prices, but it was easy to see that all but one had been used and / or returned. They were scraped and scratched. You cannot trust these people since they misrepresent their product with outright lies. When you confront them, they have nothing to say. They wasted a lot of my time but I finally purchased the one high-end new phone they had.



Next, the wife gave me a hard time with activation and porting in a number. She refused to call Page Plus to check on the port so I did. The wife screamed and yelled abusively at both the Page Plus agent and myself. I got things squared away and left the store, completing the activation and port at home. Unfortunately, the new Samsung Omnia phone had a defect from the factory, which I verified with Samsung. As much as I dreaded it, I went back the next day to swap the phone and they absolutely would not exchange it for the same or another model. They said "no exchanges, factory warranty only". They just do not care about customer service or building a customer base. They said it was my responsibility to get it fixed so I have sent this $150.00 phone back to Samsung for repair, which means I will not have use of this brand new phone for about 3 weeks. Another tip off to their unscrupulous business practices is that they deal in cash only, no credit cards, so of course you cannot dispute the charge with your credit card provider if you end up in my situation. Stay as far away from this store as possible. They also use the name 'Wireless Point' on their store.
