Promptness

Location
Professionalism

First of all, let me start by saying I've lived in Fresno for almost 5 years and I've been using the Fresno postal office since. Tammy, Larry and Iris are probably the most informative and hard-working personnel I've probably come across but there's this other lady who I think is the post master for that location, whom I personally think should not have any business interacting with customers because her customer service and ability to find resolutions are simply very poor. Anytime I have a problem with packages being mailed to me and I contact her and she then mentions she will call back, she never does. Also, her tone and body language emits a 'i don't care what you think' attitude.

If I have worked in retail for almost 10 years and I know that not everyone should be customer facing and I honestly believe this particular woman has missed her calling in life and should not be handling customer complaints if she's not able to feel or take the time to understand a customer's burden.

I just want to say that the counter employees do an excellent job. They just need more of them. My only problem is the new mail carrier that was just hired. 1st time he left package in a puddle of water by mailbox and another time he left package damaged. He seems to always be in a hurry.

Bad service/Rude

If I could give 0 stars I would. I agree with the comment with negative remarks. Very rude service, talk down to you like you're a child, get WRONG mail ALL the time. Every time I go in to this facility I'm reminded why I go to UPS. No wonder they don't get paid very well. Or maybe you could say, no wonder why they have bad attitudes- because they don't get paid well! Either way it shows. If you don't like people, helping people or working with the public, maybe a customer service profession isn't the right area of expertise for you.

I like this post office. The employees behind the desk are always the same and I actually like that. I like to see familiar faces and know what to expect when I go there. They are friendly and get you in and out. There's an older gentlemen there like likes to joke around and tell little kids stories... I think it's cute! He's my favorite! Overall, this is a great small town Post Office!

Overall

There are many people who work in this post office that wouldn't be able to hold down a job anywhere else. There is no "team spirit" in a lot of the employees. So many of them have a "that's not in my job description so i'm not going to do it" attitude and it shows through every aspect of their buisness. I've lost count of how many times i've had to call their office and speak to someone about the horrible/hateful attitude our mail carrier has towards us, and yet she still works there and we're still on her route. Not to mention there are so many times where we will get multiple pcs of other peoples' mail in our mail box that is no where close to where we live. How does this happen? Some of the people who work behind the counter are sarcastic and try to make you feel stupid if you don't know all the ins and outs of what kind of package you need to use to mail something out. isn't that why they're there? to help you when you have questions? instead i've had people talk to me like i was a 5 year old and it is certainly not appreciated. You would think with a small town post office you would have more friendly encounters, but so far i have had very few of those.
