Overall

The food was over priced for a mediocre meal at best. I went there with my wife for my birthday and our bill was $97 not including drinks. They didn't have the $17 chicken that was on the menu so, if you wanted any protein in your meal, you had to order the higher priced filet or pork tenderloin. The tenderloin was dry and tough. The filet was good but the dish was not worth $30. We ordered the scallops as an extra side. They came out smelling extremely fishy and I didnt have a good felling about it. I should have listened to my gut because I spent the rest of my birthday throwing up my awful meal. I hadn't eaten that day so I'm pretty confident that my sickness was caused by something I ate at this restaurant. I dont want anything else except for the awful food there to get fixed so that other people don't become sick. They need a bigger variety of reasonably priced food. The atmosphere and decor is very tasteful, but the live music is too loud for the size of the room. The staff is very nice. The food however, is just not worth remotely what they think it should be.

Ate there for the first time last week. The atmosphere was wonderful and the food was great!. The only complaint I have is that the live music was too loud. I had a hard time hearing my friends from across the table. I plan on going back to catch a comedy show.

Awful

The movie lounge is a great concept! However, I don't like the new chef. The service was horrible; it took 30 minutes for me to get a water and they got my order wrong. The old chef was better. They need better servers.

Feeling a little frantic about...

Feeling a little frantic about Movie Lounge. It is gorgeous and finally someone in Fort Smith did it right! I REALLY want them to be successful. Maybe it's too many episodes of Restaurant Impossible, but I'm hoping the flaws I experienced Saturday, June 3 are not fatal.

First let me say the service was a bit slow, but very professional and responsive. The beverage manager was extremely accommodating. After not having the bottle of wine we ordered, he gave us a more expensive bottle for the same price (really smart considering he also encouraged us to by an additional bottle, which we did). Would like to see him spiffed up a bit so he would look as professional as the service he offered.

Our wait staff, Amanda, could not have been more responsive and courteous. She was quick with our requests and apologetic for the glitches. Her positive sweet attitude made the experience.

I worry, however, that they have too many people at the hostess station and too many wait staff. The service was good, but not made any better by the people standing around.

The music was a nice touch - pleasant, not too loud, just perfect for the room.

The food looked lovely and the menu is very appropriately upscale. I was just so disappointed that the food tasted so bland. I went all out and ordered the 20 oz Rib eye. It was beautiful and cooked perfectly but It tasted like a slab of unseasoned meat. My wife ordered the lamb shank. We noticed another guest who got their lamb shank before ours. He was wrestling it to the degree we thought it was going to fly off the table. When ours came, we understood why. It was about as easy to eat as a turkey leg from a renaissance fair and, again, completely bland with no seasoning. Even the vegetables were bland. Can someone in the kitchen locate the salt and pepper?

Even after all that, we're going to go again. Other guests were saying their food was bland too, but a chef of this caliber should be able to fix this and the atmosphere and servers were enough to bring us back for one more try.
