"I went to see Dr. Chou when I was really sick with a tick-born illness. "Dr. Chou helped me to conceive my little boy a couple of years ago after 3 failure of IVF's! Now he is healthy and strong! We are just so happy to see him thriving everyday! Also Dr. Chou treated my mom's right eye for macular degeneration after she was rejected by her Ophthalmologist. So far, the progress is very up-lifting as her bleeding spot is literally shrinking about two rounds of acupuncture treatment. Female Infertility
Twelve of the 27 women (44%) with menstrual irregularities remained infertile after therapy with acupuncture compared to 15 of the 27 (56%) controls treated with hormones, even though hormone disorders were more pronounced in the acupuncture group. Side-effects were observed only during hormone treatment. Various disorders of the autonomic nervous system normalized during acupuncture. Based on our data, auricular acupuncture seems to offer a valuable alternative therapy for female infertility due to hormone disorders.
Endometriosis
Women treated with acupuncture had 22 pregnancies, 11 after acupuncture, four spontaneously, and seven after appropriate medication. Women treated with hormones had 20 pregnancies, five spontaneously, and 15 in response to therapy. Four women of each group had abortions. Endometriosis (normal menstrual cycles) was seen in 35% (38) of the women of each group who failed to respond to therapy with pregnancy. Only 4 of the women who responded to acupuncture or hormone treatment with a pregnancy had endometriosis, and 7% had normal cycles. In addition, women who continued to be infertile after hormone therapy had higher body mass indices and testosterone values than the therapy responders from this group.

A four-year study by University of Maryland School of Medicine researchers – Dec. 21 issue of the Annals of Internal Medicine shows acupuncture significantly reduces pain and improves function for patients with osteoarthritis of the knee who have moderate or more severe pain despite taking medication. This study took place at the institute of Mental Health, Beijing Medical University. The patients in the experiment were assigned to two groups; one being the acupuncture group, the other being a medication group. The acupuncture group received acupuncture treatment six times a week for six weeks. The medication group received a daily dose of amitriptyline beginning with 25mg and growing to 300mg over six weeks. The result of this experiment was that there was no significant difference between the results of the two groups. Both groups improved equally. The conclusion "acupuncture is as effective a treatment option for depression as amitriptyline."

These caused excruciating pain. First the orthopedic surgeon prescribed pill cortisone and physical therapy. After 2 months the pain got worse. I was not able to do my daily chores, I feel pain and weakness each day. Went to a pain management doctor who suggested the cortisone shot would help with 75 % of the pain. Visit to the neurosurgeon told me the operation only gives me 75 % relief of pain. Since my bone is brittle he needs to put nails around the spine. Then I went to chiropractor, after 4 weeks of twice a week treatment, there was no improvement. Finally my friend referred me to Dr Chou.
