Bio Dental

This guy is a terrible dentist and I will tell you why. You may know there are holistic dentists, and then there are regular dentists. Just like you could choose to go to a holistic doctor or a western medical doctor.

For holistic dentists, there’s a parent organization called IAOMT, which governs and sets the protocols for safe practices (working with mercury and mercury damaged individuals). For instance, 99% of holistic dentists you seek out, will use the IAOMT’s SMART removal technique, which basically has been developed to protect patients from harmful mercury exposure. It requires the use of supplemental oxygen, full protective clothing for patient and dentist, a dental dam, ventilation requirements and several other IMPORTANT factors that are VITAL to protect patients from mercury exposure, since it’s well known (and even admitted by the ADA), that mercury vapor is emitted in large amounts during removal.

Most holistic dentists will also use biocompatible composite fillings afterwards to replace the mercury fillings, and will often test the patients biocompatibility with a test.

Shawn does none of this. He is basically masquerading as a biological dentist, while not following the biological/holistic protocols for dentistry. He does this to make more money. It’s all about money. Using bio dental in his name is better marketing, gets more customers. Oh but if you ask him, he’ll actually tell you it’s not Biological dentistry, it’s BIO-MIMETIC (whatever that is).

He refuses to use the safe protocols set by the IAOMT and has harmed several patients by unsafely removing mercury fillings. Why? It cost more money to do the full set up. More time. Shawn likes to get things done quickly, no need to waste all that time protecting patients.

He refuses to use safe replacement materials and has a deal with a cheap composite company, which fills their composites with BPA and even has Lead (Lucrative deal he’s got though!)

I found dr shawn on a internet ad on google for Lumineers. His special was about 1/2 the price my regular dentist quoted me for lumineers on my front 8 teeth. The work was done in 2 appointments and my smiles looks great. it was just what I wanted, a white straight smile. Only down side is the parking lot behind the office is a little run down, but no big deal. I switched to dr shawn as my regular dentist. highly recommend.
