Dr. Peters is a 2010 graduate of Colorado State University's College of Veterinary Medicine and Biological Sciences. She is a member of CVMA, AVMA, and IVAPM and is accredited with the USDA. Dr. Peters grew up on the family farm in central Iowa and developed an early interest in animals and husbandry. After graduating from Regis University in Denver where she received a B.S. in biology, Dr. Peters attended veterinary school at CSU. Her professional interests include pain management, dentistry, and internal medicine. She has taken additional training in dentistry and completed certification in veterinary medical acupuncture in April 2013. Dr. Peters lives in Parker with her one dog, Shiloh and her two Maine Coons, Loki & Ramses.

The vast majority of our pets are suffering from a disease. In fact, roughly 60% of dogs and cats are developing early dental disease by the age of two. By three years old, more than 85% of dogs and cats suffer from periodontal disease. How does that affect our furry companions? Periodontal disease (disease of the gums, teeth, and supporting structures of the teeth) causes pain, possible tooth loss, and the bacteria involved can potentially travel to the kidneys, liver, and heart causing infections in these vital organs.

Dr. Grimes is a 1992 graduate from Colorado State University's College of Veterinary Medicine and Biological Sciences. He is an active member in the AVMA, CVMA, and is accredited with the USDA. He grew up on a farm and ranch south of Flagler, CO. He then earned his bachelor degree in animal science at CSU in 1988. Thereafter, applied and was accepted into the veterinary medical program at CSU. During veterinary school he took additional electives in large and small animal anesthesia, surgery, ophthalmology, dermatology, ultrasound, critical care, and medicine. He then spent time in three different mixed animal practices in Anchorage, AK, Northern Idaho and Colorado. After earning his veterinary degree, he has been actively practicing in all aspects of veterinary medicine; including soft tissue & orthopedic surgery and dentistry. He started his own practice in Elizabeth, CO in 1997 where he met his wife, Amy, and together they built the building that houses both of their business (Creekside Animal Hospital & Gymnastics Etc.) In addition to practicing veterinary medicine, Dr. Grimes enjoys family, loves the outdoors, gardening, hiking, sports, art, & woodworking.

We make every effort to provide safe anesthesia to our patients. We use a variety of anesthetic drugs and are able to tailor our protocol to meet the needs of each patient. While under anesthesia patients are monitored both visually and with similar instrumentation as human hospitals. Pre-anesthetic blood tests are also available to assess your pet's overall health and look for hidden illnesses that can increase the risk of anesthesia.

Our practice is fully equipped with Digital X-ray, ultrasound, in-house laboratory, endoscopy, CO2 laser, digital dental radiology, gas anesthesia with complete monitoring of respiratory, heart rate, oxygen saturation, and ECG. Our primary emphasis is on patient care and providing very high quality medicine, surgery and dentistry at a fair price.
