I called and talked to Baird to make sure that they did appraisals as I was driving from 15 miles away and he told me to come down anytime during the day and that the appraisal was $45. I did just that and jack refused to give me an appraisal or as he put it even touch it because the ring was not purchased through him but had been purchased from a different jeweler. Sad to say but apparently jack is in the business only to turn a quick buck and will not provide any service whatsoever.
