St James School

My son has always struggled in school. It was a battle to get him to do homework or read. What a difference a teacher can make in a child's life. This year my son is in 4th grade at St James and his teacher Mrs Martinez is a miracle worker. He cannot wait to tell me about his day school and is so excited about the different projects and subjects he is learning. Mrs Martinez really knows how to teach to the individual kid, I have seen teachers in the past teach the smart kids, or to the girls in the class. Not that they were bad but really didn't teach to each individual child. Not this teacher, not at this school. The progress my child has made is incredible. St James is like a secret treasure in a neighborhood with Montclair as the public school and Stanley British down the street. Don't waste your money at Stanley British and don't waste your child's education at Montclair. St James is where it is at.

St James is a terrific school where the teachers are exceptional and all the families care about one another. I have found my children really learning and loving to learn. I love the sports at St James and that they have track in addition to basketball and volleyball. St James really makes it easy for your student to participate in after school activities. My kids are also learning the basics that will stay with them for life, it is so nice to see a school focus on the foundation to further education. I must say that the fact that my children can wear Halloween costumes and can actually sing Christmas songs is a true plus. This is old school, proven and successful education at it's best.
